Would this work with a PC? I got an optical output (S/PDIF OUT) there.

Yes, if you got optical or AUX from PC, it works. But honestly, for PC, we suggest other sets with USB dongle and you can listen and talk. This is a TV set, best for listening.

What type of USB C plug do you recommend as you don’t supply one now? The leaflet that comes in the box says to use the TV USB, but that seems incredibly stupid as then the headphones won’t charge overnight when you’ve switched the TV off SMH (You rightly suggest to use a wall charger here in this vid but why your leaflet says something different is frustrating) In any case it would be good to know if you recommend any particular plugs

Any DC 5V/1A power plug will work. If you own a smartphone or similar device, you likely already have one at home. The reason we don't include the plug with our product is for sustainability reasons. Do you use a power strip? I was going to by a usb port but then I remembered I have a power strip with usb ports on one end. My power strip is always on, you might want to check if you have one with usb ports that you haven't noticed. I buy new power strips every other year for safety reasons and just happened to buy one with usb ports since so many electronics have switched to usb charging 😕.

Volume controls dont work. Just got this from amazon and hooked it up to the transmitter with aux cable on the back of the spectrum cable box. Even my deaf father said it was too loud. Volume controls dont work. Tried hooking the headphones directly to the cable box and the sound was lower but still cant adjust the volume. Tried to fix it with their suggestion of pairing it with my cell phone to adjust the volume. No good. Send it back?

TV remote will not work to change the volume. You will need to use the "+" and "-" buttons on the headphones. If those don't work, go ahead and send it back, maybe somethings wrong with your unit.

What if I have an elderly father who isn't too technical. I can get him set up but my parents will need to switch between the headset during the day but regular speakers at night when my mom needs to watch and listen. So I guess the question is can you easily switch back and forth without having to dig into the menu? Can the TV speakers and blue Headset be used at the same time?

The feature you asked about is actually a TV feature. You can use your TV remote control to check the TV settings > audio output. Most TV allow you to choose between different output.

You recommended pluging in to a wall outlet for the power but it didnt even connect the charging port to the headphones, so the lights didnt turn blue until we connected the USB charger to the USB port on the TV. It gave us no sound until we did that. We had to plug the USB cord into the tv with the optical cable plugged into the TV also for sound to work and there was some popping in the headphones, you said it wouldn't do that. 😠😡

What's diff between ensemble and HT5009

The difference is in the transmitter. The Ensemble's transmitter doubles as a charging dock, so it's easier to charge the headphones. The HT5009 transmitter cannot charge the headphones, but has a stronger signal.

If you're on a call, make sure that the input device is set to "Avantree Ensemble" in your PC or Phone's settings. Now, when you speak on a call, the headphones' built-in mic will catch your voice.
