I use this in my bathroom. It's pretty loud so it's easy to hear while your taking a shower. That said however I'm upgrading to the Echo Dot 4th Generation with the clock. It's a sphere and releasing in October or November. The 3rd Gen Dot I have now has the clock on it.

Had intended to get this for the bedroom, but from what I've read you can't turn the ring light off. I don't care for light pollution when trying to sleep, so I guess that plan is a no go.

i have one the light only turns on when you say “alexa” or use any commands other than that the light is always off

I just bought a 3rd gen Dot and the sound is so muffled! I opened the equalizer in the app and tried adjusting the sound. It made no difference at all. I have had a 1st gen Dot for years and the sound from it is better - not muffled at all. I’m thinking of returning this thing. Update: I returned it.

Truthfully I just got the echo dot. The sound is not that good and of course Bluetooth keeps cutting off. Cutting off I mean it keeps disconnecting from my Windows 10 computer. Truthfully I'm really beginning to feel like the speaker was a waste of time and $$$$ because it is truly AZZ.

I had one laying at my house. So I set it up. Man I thought that the time would pop up on speakers but it didn't. Compared to echo alexa 5 its no match. I would say its good for a $20 budget nothing more. Not really worth it!
