I'm the opposite. I like the Pop better. My pop's can hear me in anyroom in the house, regardless if it's all the way across the house. My Dot has trouble hearing me if I sit below it. I like the more directional sound the Pop gives, sounds better than the Dot when you EQ it. The Pop has the Midnight Teal I like best too. I wish the Pop had the temp and motion sensor like the Dot has. I'm loving the ecosystem Amazon has. I can control my tv without a remote, send messages, make calls, set the vacuum going, turn on and off lights, and change their colors. There's so much more. Saves me time too!! When paired, I really feel the Pop blows away the Dot in sound quality. Makes a great system for relaxing or throwing a party. Great bass, crisp audio and clear vocals.

I've got the spherical echo dot with the digital display. I find that when I set a timer and the timer sounds, I sometimes have to tell it 3 or 4 times to stop.

My mom gave me one for Christmas and it started out ok, then it started disconnecting from my smart bulb, now it does even take commands from voice or action button unless I unplug it then back in. It will work for a few hours and then become unresponsive again. I read reviews of other people have the same issue so now I’m not sure if I want to purchase another one. May try the pop this time although I will miss the clock.

@captain_guppy but I've seen other smaller black ones with some kinda clock but not this black version. The other versions of this model have clocks. Kinda odd they didn't include it with a black model. 🧐
