@@bubblesculptor you have absolutely 0 evidence to support that nor are you qualified to answer a question like that on behalf of all dogs ever. All living animals have a survival instinct, it’s kinda the whole point of every living species they don’t want to die so why would dogs be any different, it’s insane to think you actually believe that a dog would consider it an honour to be killed by someone it trusted instead of looking after the dog. I doubt the dog who would have been panicking and yelping in pain when this bastard was killing it felt like it was an honour to “save” his life aye just common sense that seems to be rare nowadays.

Oh shut up, people also have a right to be upset. To many, their dog *IS* family. Family for years, since childhood even. You also can't just pretend that they mean nothing because they're "just a dog". It's not about just "being given a name and letting it sleep on your bed", you build a bond, a trust with them. Dogs have legitimately saved people and can do amazing things even humans can't. Most people can't *SMELL* cancer, most people can't *TELL* when someone with a chronic condition is gonna pass out in 5 minutes. Let's not forget travel dogs like sled dogs being used to transport medicine through the harsh blizzards, or dogs who dig out people buried by avalanches. Service dogs that guide the blind and disabled, dogs on the police force, military dogs, herding dogs who fight off entire packs of coyotes, dogs that can smell literal *B0MBS!* I could go on. 1. Same way he afforded the private school he went to, I assume. 2. Leeching off the locals (who he knew would be there) and dressing it up as some kind of pure exploration. 3. No idea. Either way, he's the guy down the pub who insists on boring you with tales of how good he is at paintball.
