Amazon Fire Stick Restarts Itself - Simple Quick Fix 🛠

This video review the quick fix for amazon fire stick which keep restarting itself. Its a simple fix you can do in few minutes and start using it normally. it also fixes the over heating issue of the amazon fire stick.
1- OPEN THE AMAZON FIRE STICK.
2- REMOVE ALL THE COVERINGS
3- MAKE HEAT SINK WITH HOUSE HOLD ALUMINIUM FOIL
4- PLACE THE HEAT SINK ON BOTH SIDE OF THE STICK AND PLACE IT IN THE COVERING AGAIN.
5- IF ISSUE IS STILL THERE BUY ALUMINIUM HEAT SINK OF SMALL SIZE AND PLACE ON THE OUT SIDE OF THE FIRE STICK ON BOTH SIDES.

How could this cool it if foil insulates and reflects radiant heat? I've heard of drilling holes in the plastic for cooling but adding foil doesnt sound right.

I had the issue of setup screens looping again and again after factory reset. I tried everything on all these youtube videos but nothing worked. I left it plugged in overnight (with wifi connected) and the problem got solved.

After adding external hard drive firestick began a crash on and off loop. On another youTube suggestion changed plug to a samsung tablet plug and problem went away. The actual suggestion was a phone plug that takes more power than the firestick plug. It seems firestick plug runs fine w/o any extra hardware but couldn't handle hard drive.

Worked for about 5 minutes and then It reset itself again as I was in the middle of playing Double Dragon Trilogy. A tv repairman friend tells me if it shorts you can damage your tv. I have removed the foil

Looks like a logical solution, my fire tv stick was resetting when connected to a audio splitter/HDMI extender + 25 feet long projector HDMI cable, this solution working so far, thank you for sharing it..

2 things you can do.1.change the adapter to 2 Amp instead of standard provided. 2 change the long cable provided and use a another 1.dont use it with TV usb power.

Try this solution :- take out the usb cable from the power adaptor and directly plug the usb cable into your tv....this method worked for me for bootloop problem

That is exactly what you should NOT do! Most usb ports on TVs are UNDERPOWERED and this alone can throw FireStick into a boot loop. Even worse, when you turn off power to your TV, most will cut off power to their USB port. This ... 1.) Prevents the FS from receiving 'updates' during 'sleep' mode (when they most frequently occur). 2.) If your TV powers off (by you directly or by a timer), and it occurs right when your FS is receiving a regular update ... THIS CAN CORRUPT YOUR FS!! Depending WHEN it happens in the update process, it may actually 'brick' your device so bad that you can't even recover enough to do a Factory Reset (i.e. might not even be able to use a wired keyboard (connected via an OTG adapter cable) 'key combination' to get into your FS's 'Safe Mode'). Using the Wall Plug and cable the FS came with is best. Though you may wish to try another Power Adapter that has the same Volts AND Amperage as the original (if you think it may have gone bad). Perhaps a bad wall plug was why when you decided to plug into the TV's USB port, it started again ... but the solution is to replace the wall plug with a working one ... NOT using the TV's USB port!

This makes no sense. Aluminum is a conductor. We are looking to nullify the heat not carry it on. It would make sense to use something else. So I found using a piece of foam or shipping cardboard helped. It alleviate the contact which gives space for air and helps to cut down on the heat which causes the crashing.

@@CrybabyArtist Problem resolved after I disconnected 5 usb drives from my firestick. I don't want to waste my time searching for the minute/second mark from 7 months ago either.

@@MisterGeezy yeah thanks for your reply though. One thing I do know for sure is that these are way under powered, and they really do overheat. The power supply should be able to draw 2.4 Ma. and anything trying to share it's source is going to brown it out and restart it.

@@CopyPrintScanChannel no brother. this isn't to fix a boot loop which is when the firestick constantly reboots on the initial start-up screen. that's the main issue alot of people are having. The only real solution for this will be a replacement. I can't even factory reset my firestick because it's looping every 5 seconds and there's no opportunity even when using the remotes shortcuts

@@selokin3974 yeah that makes sense. There is no fix for the boot loop unless you can get to the white loading screen. Mine's looping after 5 seconds so I can't perform any ADB Debugging or even a factory reset. This has been overlooked by Amazon imho

@@paksallion When mine went into the boot loop, I changed usb cables and it no longer loops. However the resetting issue is still happening. I will try this and see if it works.

@@felon2099 I tried that also as it was suggested that it could be a power issue but it wasn't. good luck with yours I did contact Amazon and they offered a swap which I've done now. it does seem like an application was causing it to loop over and in my case it was kodi that I was modifying before it occurred. I did have some dodgy sites up on my silk browser which made me reluctant to swap it just incase they got it working again 😆
