I started off with a cheap 30 airbrush kit. Cleaning it and painting with it was painful (I later found out that the cheap paint/coating would flake off and would clog the brush). It would always get clogged up no matter how well I cleaned it. Once I got one of the G22 and all of my problems are gone. I haven't had issues cleaning or painting at all.

Interesseting, as I see that the needle and nozzle same tiny as the other cheap chinise one. nothing different. So why should it spray better?
@antongunther397710 ай бұрын
@@DieTabbi the size of the needle and nozzle might be the same. But the tolerance of the machining of the parts is what makes it spray better. The trigger alone feels like I can have much finer control.

The best cheap airbrush from Amazon is Point Zero. Point Zero airbrushes are very very good airbrushes and are very fine detailed airbrushes and well made they are just as good as the Iwata airbrushes. I have almost all of them and they are as good as a Iwata Custom Micron and other Iwata and Badger airbrushes and can use automotive paint and thinner and does not harm the seals or the airbrushes. The Iwata Neo wants to pull money from the cheaper companies. For $60-$70 you can have the great feel and build from Iwata . Granted , it's no Custom Micron, or an Eclipse but it's close enough to the Eclipse. The Master is good enough to practice with. Especially coming with 3 different sizes. Start with Master and if you need to have multiple guns , use NEO.

So i bought the exact same kit just when i started airbrushing. It was dissapointing actually. One of the tip broke on the 3 day when i tried to change it to the 5mm needle. It took me an hour to get the screw end of the tip out of the airbrush. A few weeks ago i started to airbrush again. I do notice tho that the chrome finish starts to fall off on the paint cup. Def wouldnt recommend it, tho it is good for a throwaway airbrush or to just use as a priming tool!

Do you know what materials are used to fill gaps when connecting model parts? and when painting, is it necessary to apply a coat of paint before applying color? If so, please tell me the names of those materials.
@AsimPaints5 ай бұрын
There are quite a few options to fill gaps! Bondo spot putty, Mr. Surfacer 500, wood filler, two part epoxy clay, miliput, Tamiya putty, you can cure 3d print resin or uv resin with a uv flashlight, and so much more. Just keep in mind most of these products are meant for shallow fills, so for larger gaps either use epoxy clay or do repeated thin layers instead of trying to fill it all at once. And before painting, once the parts are prepped, you want to use primer. You can get spray paint primer, or if you plan on using airbrush paints each manufacturer will have primer.

as good a deal that is it is still a pretty low quality airbrush. i know, i own 2 lol. there are some improvements to be made that make it spray much better like replacing needle and nozzle for gsi/iwata but these cost approximately enough to just get a $74 gsi ps-289 instead and youdontl have the manufacturing tolerance and finish issues the master line has. but that doesnt come with any accessories and that only has one needle you say? yep and it is a great needle that will spray just about any sized dot with just about any paint every time you pick it up as the master will on its best day with a perfectly thinned and finely ground pigmented paint. and speaking of dot size and accessories you can actually put the .2 needle and nozzle and cap from the ps-270 in the ps-289 and if you're really feeling paint hungry you can throw an iwata .5 needle and nozzle set from an iwata neo in there and get all the size options with a fantastic action that will last forever if maintained. and i know this is gonna bump the cost up 40 more dollars but you did say a premium alternative would be over 100 so :) but even if someone still has to buy a master, at least buy the iwata nozzle wrench as it will save your airbrush when the nozzle eventually breaks off sideways with the threads still locked in the end of the gun with dried paint resins due to the crappy little spanner wrench they include (oh and um also buy one of these if you get an iwata or a gsi as they also come with crappy wrenches hehe) and last but most important : buy a steel mesh drain basket to go in your sink drain because when that nozzle falls it always goes down there and if water is running it will get swept over the p trap and you'll be ordering a new one.
@AsimPaints10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the in-depth reply. I think you're failing to realize this is meant to be used a starter airbrush. For the price, of course the quality is not going to be up to par with name brands like Mr.Hobby/Creos or Iwata. But this is an excellent deal for someone who can't afford to spend the money on something more premium. You have to consider a beginner isn't just looking at an airbrush, but a compressor, paints, cleaners, and potentially a spraybooth. All that adds up, so even if there are exceptions to the +$100 idea, like the Pro-con boy (which I plan on getting), that difference in money can make or break someone's budget. Sounds like you didn't have a great experience with this brand, but as someone who's used it consistently for two years it works very well and I stand by my recommendation.
@deadrem8 ай бұрын
@@AsimPaintsYeah, that's exactly my scenario. Of course I'd much prefer getting a better product, but the fact of the matter is I'm too broke to justify spending too much money on something I'm not even sure I'll actually enjoy doing. I made the mistake of buying the cheapest airbrush+compressor on amazon a while ago which turned into a nightmare for me (thankfully the store kindly sent me an immediate refund after I wrote a review), so I'm just trying to do some research and get something that at least has a reputation, replacement parts, and community support.

The seals are junk - the brush is only for acrylics unless you feel like messing with beeswax.
@AsimPaints10 ай бұрын
I haven't had issues with the seals, but I've only exclusively used acrylics. Though I've cleaned it with lacquer thinner and acetone without creating any issues. But yeah, beginners are probably going to stick with acrylics anyway.

The problem with Master is one of consistency. This brush is basically a knockoff of the Iwata HP-C. It is possible to get an excellent brush, but not assured. I feel that a beginner should have a more proven tool. If I get a brush that is not up to snuff, I can dial it in and get decent results. that same problematic brush in the hands of a novas will only serve to frustrate. Wit a proven brand, you know any issues are likely you and you will be less likely to rage quit.
