@Justin Lyons Why are you so simple? Do you not understand that when you have robots or computers replace jobs that people do, jobs will be lost. Now is this the end of all jobs, no. But there is a beginning to everything. Maybe you would feel different if your job started to get replaced by computers and robots and you start losing work friends or even your job. But it sounds like you are ok with not working. Thanks for acknowledging your ignorance.

@@SnidgetAsphodel I can't help you if you don't think adding these types of systems don't take jobs away from people. I wonder how many employees are really there when there are not cameras rolling? Companies add machines like these to allow them to have less employees. If not, why add these expensive types of systems. Its common sense. I have no idea what you do for a living but if your company came out with a computer that did your job, do you really believe they want to keep paying you? Why? A computer will work 24 hours a day, never take a day off and will eventually pay for itself. At some point the computer will make it 100% profit from its work.

I actually work at that store and just to tell you we have a minimum 50-60 people working all the time 24/7. Those carts don't take away from cashier jobs at all since every single cashier aisle is full during the day, and they actually add jobs because the insane amount of restocking that happens while the store is actually open. I work the overnight shift and we do an insane amount of restocking even when the store is closed when there is no customers and Amazon Shoppers. Can't imagine what the day shifts are like when there are customers.

Everywhere is packed, i've helped out in three different sections of the store because theyve asked us for help. Alexa ia nice, but there are some things it can't help you with, and the other employees walking around are always happy to help you find what you're looking for! You can choose to have a very futuristic shopping experience ( there are barcodes on the price tags, if yoy scan them with your app you can see real time reviews i believe ? ) or ! If you'd rather not, you can walk around the store like any other ! ^^

I’m not saying that it will happen, but it may happen. If they can hack government servers then hacking the Dash Cart would be like a walk in the park on a balmy Sunday. Overall I liked this video and I’ll visit the place very soon since it is close to me, I may even do some shopping to see how it feels. There are definitely more advantages than drawbacks, depending on how serious the drawbacks may be. We will have to wait and see.

If amazon has a food store then why not other items too while you are there? Trying not to be another store? This won't fly in the ghettos but in gentrified areas.

Most stores don't have this but pretty soon in the future it will become a real thing, which kinda forces you to have an account and credit card, instead of paying with cash.

2:18 That Marsala wine is not 5 stars. How does this brand get 5 star ratings? I bought this one before. Holland House is a lower quality version that doesn't taste as good as it should. You can get good quality Marsala wine in a liquor store.

@@fairymermaid9013 Its like having a crappy first car. Its a right of passage. When you go into the grocery store you grab any cart you can find, might have a bummed wheel that makes a terrible noise might be wet from the rain but hey thats grocery shopping. When you go to look for a random ingredients to make that dinner idea you've had all week, you dont ask a piece of technology where it is. You chase down that grumpy old lady with the glasses thats worked there for a decade and a half and ask and nine times out of ten no matter how random it is odds are she'll take you right to it. When you go grocery shopping you either use your brain and count the cost of it all in your head, or you shop with your stomach and just wing it! These things we do in life build our character as people. We may not think about it, but these are the moments in life that helped shape us to who we are today. It would be a damn shame to see it all go to waste bc Mr. Squirrelly Rich man Bazos needs another walnut for his tree hole.. Im js 💁🏻‍♀️
