I have a feeling there would be a better bond if I were to scuff the inside of the bags. Of course that would make it hell to get off if it doesn't last or you were to get stains and wanted to replace. Looks good...and I know first hand how naked bags can tear shit up and rattle to hell. Good price too. I might try it. Thanks

I haven't had any issues with the liners not sticking. So far, so good. Thanks for watching!

Looks good I purchased some diamond pattern saddlebag liners and they seem too bulky thinking this might be a better choice. Just have to figure out how the amplifier will mount sice it is 3m taped to the bag wall

Just gotta get creative! I'm sure you'll figure something out to mount that amp. Thanks for watching!

Hmm, to stop the rattling, noise and scuffing..I'm wondering about painting and rolling on rubberized coating like a Flex- and- Seal.. any experience with this?

Honestly, I have not tried that. I suppose if it were prepped properly, it may work. Thanks for watching!

Did the instructions specify applying the adhesive to the mat, as opposed to spraying the interior of the bag? Would the 3M glue allow more working time? And another thought: PVC or latex gloves.
@kalways_kustoms3 жыл бұрын
The instructions didn't specify as to where to put the glue. My years of autobody experience told me that it should be on the back of the carpet. So far it has held up great. As far as the brand goes, 3M or Norton, it's all the same. As far as gloves go, you are correct. I should have been wearing them....lol Thanks for watching!!!!

Nice video. What type carpet would you say this is, meaning could I just go to a carpet store and buy some cheap remnants etc? Thanks!

I would say that it is pretty close to indoor/outdoor carpet. Thanks for watching!

Does it have any insulating properties. Does it somewhat help as far as heat
@kalways_kustoms2 жыл бұрын
Not really. Things still get pretty hot in the bags. The biggest reason was to pad the inside of the saddlebags, so things wouldn't get destroyed. Thanks for watching!

Good Video, I'm doing a Dyno mat lining on my bike do you think the carpet kit will fit over my Dyno mat, that is in place sound quality sounds

Thanks for watching! I don't see why that wouldn't work. You may have to trim a little to compensate, but it should be fine, I would think.

one would think for the price they would not just number but add the simple extras showing the best order to install them with a few pictures. duh. instead of standing around for who knows how long playing guessing games. they went to the extent of numbering and location of each piece. detail is everything. that's as comparable to making a cake without the ingredient amounts. and just saying add it all together tap your heels and see the wizard to fix your screw up. i did interior headliners, compartments, etc in the yachting business. i assure you how many times i wished for detailed cuts and installment patterns but no deal.. and a real pain in the ass. seems they stopped way short on even the cuts. i did mine with fleece lining and it was a real pia. maybe just go for the premade liners you just slide in and can pull out like a handbag. for a few extra bucks. just a thought. its easy to picture in your mind seeing it finished. but that's the easy part. maybe a supplied magic wand would ice the cake. lmao.
