Should of been this way from the beginning. I've bought many products that were worse quality than a flea market. Its too much of a hassle to send items back. I hardly buy Amazon anymore.

@@TheeLynnChase Yeah, unfortunately I've received many products that come with a note asking for 5-star reviews in exchange for a free product or coupon! At this point you can only trust the negative reviews and then purchase items at your own risk.

60% of all Amazon sales are Third-party sellers who own and run small businesses. So take it easy on the bashing. Amazon is a juggernaut but without 3p sellers people wouldn't be able to get these products and items so easily around the world.

Hooray. about 1 out of 5 things I order from them come and they look nothing like what was advertised. I then waste my time and gas having to take it to the UPS store to be sent back. Then I'm waiting an average of 6 days to see my refund.

It’s not just defective products, think about it, it’s also defective & unsafe items such as food & drugs, such as vitamins & so on, when you use a platform to sell products that harm the consumer, then yes you are liable, one of the chapters in business consumer & business law about unsafe & or deceptive business practices.

Finally, Amazon got too many Sellers on its list so much so the genuine products are not there. I purchased a Designer perfume the scent doesn't smell like it and Amazon doesn't accept perfume returns.

Almost everything ive ever purchased off Amazon is cheaply made and way over priced. The sad thing is that when I open the few products i have purchased and realize it wasn’t worth the money, I just eat up the cost. I never return it because why bother with the hassle. Id rather buy the old way, in the store.

Key words in the title "can be held responsible." Which means not quite yet approved. Why not? Consumers should be protected when they give their money to purchase a product on any platform or store. From tools, toys, house steamers, irons, clothing and glassware, to name a few, one should not have to worry about lead in the toys; the equipment breaking after a few weeks, steamers burning you, hover boards burning your house down, glassware with lead, etc., Too many companies are just getting away with to much and the consumer is left damaged. Same as these companies who are leaking people's data without any repercussions. These companies are destroying people's lives when their data is leaked due to poor security. Those who purchase hazardous items on Amazon - Amazon should immediately refund the buyer - buyers should not have to go through the seller to collect their money back when there is a recall. The consumer should be protected at all times. All companies must be held liable and accountable.

Amazon sells unsafe products. It use to not be like this. I use to get baby products and had to throw them out smelling funny or having pieces detach. It’s about time!! Hold them accountable
