I ordered a mouse got it half price and was shown as good condition. Was supposed to be scratched up and the box was supposed to be damaged when it arrived it was brand new and the box was perfect.

So I recently purchased an Xbox One X Scorpio Edition in 'acceptable' condition from Amazon Warehouse Deals for £278, with the description of scratches and cosmetic blemishes on all portions of the console. Wasn't holding out much hope! When it arrived the box was a bit worn but the console itself was literally perfect, no marks at all, and it even came with the correct Scorpio edition controller and stand. Now bearing in mind the acceptable grade is their lowest possible grade something weird is going on in the warehouse. They must be mixing them up when they ship them out as mine was basically a 'Like New' console.

The worker probably too busy to even open it and just mark everything as "scratches and scuffs". Paid 90 for a 140 headphones and it was literally brand new on the inside. You could still smell the brand new car smell on it.

Yes I also bought the latest Thrustmaster add-on F1 style wheel. It was described as acceptable condition but I thought it was worth the risk. Arrived in perfect condition too and I don't think the box had ever been opened. You really cannot trust the Amazon description. The scratches and damage they described were nowhere to be seen.

You can get some really good stuff, I guess you got unlucky. It always seems like camera lenses are the best ones to go for because they always seem to give brand new ones out for more than 60% off. I got a Nikkor 35mm f1.8 for £100 when the rrp was around £300 and it was legitimately brand new, it even had the unlock seal intact indicating no one had actually ever used the lens. A lot of people seem to have the same experience

Thats not an Xbox One X controller either. If you look around the X power button, you could see that it's glossy. On the Xbox one X controller, they've changed it to a matte finish. So that's an original Xbox one controller.

I got an air fryer that was described as damaged and acceptable and when I got it there was like a razor blade cut in the side of the packaging where somebody like put a hole in the Box while cutting the shrink wrap. Needless to say you open the box and it was in perfect condition and I saved $60 a brand new unit.

I have heard of many instances where people have received items that are just a damaged box and the item is brand new and never used,and to be honest that's what i was hoping i might get,but would have still been happy with just an open box return.Shame it was so far off it's advert description.

I guess i was lucky i purchased a Nvidia shield pro 2019 (Not tube) that was described as Acceptable and on close inspection it looked almost brand new and came with all accessories and after testing for a few weeks its all good. I paid £125.32 for it. And another thing i ordered from the warehouse a Frisbee it was marked as nearly new so to my horror when i received it, it was in terrible condition with huge dents and scratches all over. So its the luck of the draw with amazon warehouse it seems

I've never even thought about checking Amazon Warehouse ...I need an Xbox One X...But they' re a bit pricey for me. Yours looks pretty decent. I'm not bothered about a few scratches so long as it works...… If I could pick one up like yours for 100 quid less than the cost of buying a one new, I'd be well chuffed..I wouldn't be bothered about not getting the official Scorpio Controller..But that's just me...Im gonna see if I can pick up a deal...Tthanks for this useful video.

The thing is with scratches and wrong controller it would be even cheaper.I know you would be happy with the saving but I had the option to save quite a bit more for one in worse condition but opted to pay extra for one that was meant to be like new,it’s not on when you’ve paid that extra and you get a lower grade. But yeah keep an eye out on there and if you aren’t bothered about cosmetic damage or box damage then you should be able to save quite a bit of cash. Hope you find a bargain 👍

I hear what you saying...It was advertised like new or in pristine condition and should arrive as such. Plus the Scorpio edition was the launch edition which sets it apart and has such the controller should be original too. I just found the Robot White Special Edition on eBay for 269.99...Its advertised as 'Opened Never Used'...That's like 90 quid cheaper if buying a brand new one..I may pull the trigger and buy it if it's legit. I'm always super cautious when I buy stuff off the net. All I need then is that LG C9 Oled..that is one beautiful TV.

Yeah you are kinda right about being scammed its a original xbox controller not even a xbox one s controller which it should be... you can tell as the xbox button on the top center is on a separate piece of plastic not on the face plate like the newer controller the new models the face plate covers the whole top

Well mine certainly wasn't as described.The wrong controller was in the box,paperwork was missing that was exclusive to the console,there were scratches all over the top and the back of the console. I'm not sure where you are from but here in the UK you are able to send Amazon warehouse items back free of charge if you are not happy or they are not as described.

It's definitely a crapshoot with AWD. Sometimes you get good as new, sometimes busted junk. I never buy "Acceptable" items anymore because that is the lowest category & you should expect the worst (& you often get it). Amazon admits to a 40% return rate. That's a lot of used stuff.

I work at Amazon and my only advice would be this, if you can afford to buy new, do so. I would never buy anything high value for the simple reason, why would anyone send something like an xbox one x back? Save yourself the headache and also the heartache, its nice to think your getting a bargain, but really upsets you when you realise all is not what you had hoped! Really sorry about yours, hope you get a perfect xbox that you want, one day!

@MaxiMilianMus if you buy it and its not as described or your not pleased with your item, you are more than welcome to return the item for a refund, your only hassle is packing it up and taking it to the post office and waiting for your refund. Most items you get on the amazon warehouse deals are ok, like anything, you just have to keep an open mind of what your buying and what you might get. Don't expect new, assume everything is used and then you wont be disappointed when it arrives and its not new or if its marked / scratched or if bits are missing. All returns are sent to processing, in the UK, that is in Scotland so that stock is usually dealt with separately from mint stock. Sorry I cant answer you any better.
