Godse never killed Gandhi only for Hinduism . He killed Gandhi for many reasons 1)Gandhi's role in slaughter of 2500 Hindus in Kerala, Mooplah's Genocide .2)Gandhi's statement that Hindus should face death with pride if Muslims comes to kill you 3) Gandhi's inability to stop the partition & allowed slaughter of Sikhs & even Muslims in Punjab border 4) Doing appeasement of Muslims by reading Quran in temple & not doing the opposite. 5) After partition Gandhis role of throwing out poor Hindu refugees who had taken shelters in Mosques 6) To give 55 crores to pakistan when they had attacked through Kabalis in Kashmir. 7) Meeting between Gandhi & Hyderabad Nizam in 1st week of Dec 1947 for Hyderabad freedom & Gandhi's positive signal to Nizam . This all frustrated Godse so the Political murder . May be that time if there would have been media like today he would have exposed Gandhi in media instead of kiling him. After the poona pact Gandhi made sure he campaigned against untochability throughout the 30 till Quit India. The fact is u hate today's Congress party and blame Nehru and Gandhi for it, which shows how little u understand Indian politics and history. @ Sure. As long as you are feeling fine, that's all that matters. Also, caste in India cuts across religions. Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, etc also have castes. As per sociological studies, the origin of casteism is not well understood. Though there are hindu religious texts that created caste inequalities (Manu smriti), caste exists in other religions cause it is more related to the work one does or did. And the current existence of caste today has less to do with religious sphere (Hinduism) and more to do with socio-political spheres (this again explains existence of caste in other religions). whatever may be the reasons, today the caste distinctions must go. Else, India will never progress.

@सत्यमेवजयते-य1ब4 жыл бұрын
@nikki ajitha He was against against caste discrimination not Sanatan dharm (Which we consider as Hinduism today.) Caste system is not part of sanatan dharm. it was varn system, Which has changed over time into a different caste. The person who did business was made his caste. Just as Sati system, child marriage has also ended, so too will casteism end soon. Casteism is ending very fast. And as far as I have read about Ambedkar, he was not against Vedos, which is the main text of Sanatan Dharma.
@सत्यमेवजयते-य1ब4 жыл бұрын
@nikki ajitha No!! Caste system is not part of hindu religion. Varna system was part of ancient india that became jati system. It was started by there was 4 varn But now there are most than 6000 castes in india. Can you give me a single reference where these 6000 caste are mentioned in hindu books??

@nikki ajitha see, I'll acknowledge that cast system was a part of the corrupted Hinduism that was practiced back then. But I'd like to say that Dr Ambedkar purified Hinduism intentionally or not and I'm grateful to him for this. He is the reason today we know that Hinduism had varna and cast and if varna system is exploited then it becomes caste system, so know we are aware of it. Even if Hinduism was that bad, it doesn't matter now, we are ready to change it

The intellect of this man is unbelievable. Holy shit.
During my school days till 1969, I never read any chapter about him in my text books. First time heard about him in 1975 when I was living in Bombay. However, I wasn't willing to know about him simply because back of my mind, a sleeping thought was present that he is from castes which is not liked by our caste. Things did changed due to life style in Bombay. Then I started learning about him, his life and his vision. Still it was not enough to recognise his greatness. Today, floodgates are opened upon me and I feel very sad that life of such a great person which arosed many inspirations was muddled with power to rule and leaving behind the source and subject of such force. While many of leaders of that class are prosperous yet millions of their caste live in very poor conditions. That's biggest misuse of reservation proposed by none other than Dr Ambedkar. Yes it's right Dr Ambedkar lives in statue in park, or on political posters of parties and not in lives of people of this nation. One question bangs my mind when we call ourselves as great civilised society, how come this types of rituals became norms of society. I think these norms were not imposed by rulers of that times. I ❤️ Mr Ranganathan.

Just remember one thing brother...Sanatana never said that caste is defined by your birth, it’s the karmas , what defines your class. (Actually I never liked to use the word CASTE, I rather prefer group or category or class) Now If you think logically, the categorisation of any species (of course , including Human beings ) is very natural and obvious , because not everyone is same and nor their KARMA. You are bound to categorise. Birth categorisation is done on basis of your karmas not by birth. That’s Hinduism .
@Prasannakumar-yk7bf4 жыл бұрын
@@nishantkulshrestha9160 let us not blame Britishers and others for cast system. If you know about Basavanna's reformations in the 10th century (before Islam or Britishers), you will know cast system existed before the Brits. the way to abolish cast system and to make all citizens our brothers and sisters, 1) we have to unconditionally accept that we had (have) cast system first 2) recognize openly the harm it has caused to all people 3) sincerely oppose it. Fortunately Hinduism itself does not oppose or encourage caste system, it is open to reformations. 2) Unfortunately the politicians and Indian politics is based on cast, religion, region, language divides. Even the people most adversely impacted by cast are the fiercest defenders of cast system (for personal and political gains). So the solution to cast system should and will come only when the politics of India is reformed.

What a narration? Very moving. I am ashamed at what my forefathers did. That even educated people had no humanity is appalling that a young child could not get water. Yet people complain about providing quotas. But there is no point in providing quotas without providing education to these people to benefit from the quotas provided. That is our tragedy that our political leaders only exploit the caste differences but not provide the means to become full citizens of India in a full and meaningful way. That many were forced into bonded labor to be liberated by people like Satyamurthi. I did not even know about Satyamurthi from the list of Bhrarath Ratna awardees but by reading about him winning a Nobel Peace Prize. Wbat a sham we have made of the remedies provided by Dr Ambedkar. We have failed Dr Ambedkar by only doing lip service to his efforts. What a great man and how lucky we were to have him and how unfortunate were we that he was stifled from making India really great by our politicians whom we regarded as great. There had been no greater person in India than Dr Ambedkar and what an inspiration he will be for us not only for the Constitution he provided us but for the moral courage he showed despite all the horrors he suffered in India. Adi Shankara called women, shudras and vaishyas, papyonah in his Bhagwad Gita Bhashya, many other acharyas considered papayonah as a separate category. Adi Shankara in his Brahma Sutra Bhashya said that women and lower caste people cannot study Vedas and Vedanta because smriti prohibits them, and prescribes that a shudra listening to the vedas must have molten lac poured into his ears, if he utters it must have his tongue cut, and if he preserves it he must have his body cut up. Advaita is philosophy of upanishad, aham brahmasmi, prajnanam brahma, tattvamasi, ayam atma brahma, sarvam khalvidam brahma, ishavasya idam sarvam, all predate shankara. Shankaracharya wasn't inclusivist as many people like to believe. Ramanandacharya was more inclusivist saying, jaat paat pooche nahi koye jo hari ko bhaje so hari ke hoye.

@@chinmayjoshi3592 shankara was a giant, a scholar, a wonderful debater, but he wasn't inclusivist. As an atheist I find advaita very intriguing, but the concept evolved much before shankara

My parents lost everything in partition. My grandfather was killed. A good Muslim advocate, a friend of my grandfather, took the women to their airport for three days at great danger to himself till they got on the plane to Delhi in burkhas and with all their valuables. My great grandfather, my other grandparents, my parents and my aunts and uncles, never harbored hate despite all the trauma of partition. They never brought us up with hate. They were proud of their sacrifices for the nation. Please listen to the words (IN VIDEOS, LINKS AT BOTTOM OF THIS NOTE) of my father, Prof Shanti Swarup, 96, freedom fighter who passed away in March 2020 on Secularism 101--Various good people are muddying the waters about secularism. In my humble view, conceptually and in very simple terms, secularism was something consciously adopted and accepted by people who were tired of civil war and killing each other. It is why Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, Ambedkar, Maulana Azad pursued it for India even if it was formally added into the constitution later. It is the same with the concept of democracy, and the concepts of liberty, fraternity, equality. The whole idea of a constitution. Secularism was never something, anywhere in the world, that people developed or accepted spontaneously. People accepted it because they were tired of hate and wanted to improve their lives and live in peace. People various religions practice their religions privately. In a new democracy, secularism is supposed to be superimposed on various religious groups so they can live together peacefully within one territory and pursue other objectives such as healthcare, food, education, competing with other powers like China. Why are people in India going down the rabid path of looking for cultural causes of the failure of secularism--this is only going to muddy the water further so we make things worse, not better. We have to create a common vision for India together. Yes, reversing Shah Bano judgment was a big mistake for which we have been paying a heavy, heavy price. But we need to move on towards a more perfect union. This why USA, UK, Australia, etc have pursued secularism and they are also trying to move towards a more perfect union. It is why India chose secularism and we must continue to pursue a more perfect union. It is the crux of the point that my father, Professor Shanti Swarup, was covering in his videos here. Please do give a few minutes of your time to review the issue of secularism, specifically in the videos. Thank you. Dhanyawad. Shukriya, bahut meherbani. Bari merbani. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoO1aniGg7qIgNk kzbin.info/www/bejne/hX7Ndq2AZq-akJI

Thank you to the speaker on taking up the topic for research and make an unbiased elucidation of the question - who should we draw inspiration from. Just as Ambedkar is in the category of black and white, not gray, the author of this research paper didn’t leave us in gray. Thank you for enlightening on who Ambedkar is, who is mostly seen as the creator of the constitution for most, including myself. The inspirational literary legacy he left behind, I hope is brought up for open discussion, for the love of the nation, not just individuals.
