The thing I like the most about Amber I think is that she's very real. I mean u can see she's a awkward little llama that just is truly appreciative of what she has. I'm not saying there isn't other people in that industry who aren't appreciative or real. But with Amber I get this refreshing feel at the same time. It's just truly beautiful

I feel like the box/cube is showing how kpop idols are all prepackaged into these perfect models, where everything they do and say has to be controlled by the companies behind them. At the end of the song the border lights turned off one by one which implies that we should not feel restrained and break out of the barriers thats blocking us from showing our true self. Something along those lines. Really inspirational though.

I'm gonna share something personal because I feel like I need to get it out and JRE, I've felt, has always been super accepting and very friendly: I used to really dislike the way I looked, almost hated my appearance actually. The extra fat around my middle especially coupled with my weight. It got even worse when I started expressing how I wanted to audition for different entertainment companies in Korea. I got immediate backlash and hate from so many people who I thought would help me and encourage me. I was told I was "too big" and "not pretty enough". I was reminded of the fact that because I am black I wouldn't even be considered in a lot of things I wanted to do so my only choice would be to give up and stick to things that were "appropriate" for both my race and gender. Those people won. I gave up auditioning and I nearly gave up kpop, one of the things that makes me happy, but after hearing this song, after listening and watching the video, I think I'm ready to be myself again. Regardless of my appearance, regardless of my weight or whatever else, I should just be me. And I thank Amber from the bottom of my heart for getting me to finally see something my parents have been telling me since the beginning.
