I lived all over NYC, from Hell’s Kitchen with scary neighbors and a scarier landlady, to Brooklyn’s “Coney Island” where I could see the Wonder Wheel from my place, to the Upper East Side of Manhattan (had a boyfriend with a nice place there), the Bowery, the Bronx, almost got a place on Staten Island but the neighborhood was a bit “off” after dark.

Your friendship is #goals! I hope your arm is healing, Amber. I want to know how you can both stay so trim with your eating habits?! I guess working out every muscle in your body for 8-10 hours a day might just be the trick… LOL. I’d be huge even if I did ballet/dance every day, all day. Honestly, it's the working out. It really is. "Exercise", for the average gym goer, will build muscle but diet is still important. But when you're really pumping it day in, day out, you can't keep yourself fed sufficiently, honestly. I worked as a hike lead and park ranger for a couple of years, and I would do, minimum, 8-10k every day, plus stretching, pack training, weight training, indoor climbing etc. Some days, I would easily do 30-40k. I'd come home from those monsters and eat, like, ten eggs.

I think she's putting it on. Snarky faces are very Ambercore. It's her gimmick. At least I hope. She's just gone through some major life changes, and one thing is the weather. I'm from the northeast coast, I've been to Arizona, and if I had to move to Arizona, I think I'd have a stroke within the first couple of weeks. I assume that's what it's like for her, just in reverse.

It has been bugging me forever that Amber looked familiar--now I know it is because she looks like Maeve Dermody (whose name I didn't know, but whose face is familiar from "And Then There Were None"). Dermody is Australian and has appeared on Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (on the episode "Murder on the Ballarat Train"), as well as in another Agatha Christie adaptation, "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?"
