I truly feel the same. I'm an ambient fan since my 13th birthday. Now I'm fiftynine. My first LP was "Force Majeure" from Tangerine Dream. Later one of my favourites was Robert Schröder "Galaxis Cygnus A" - but Martin's ambient music touches my soul deeply with a bridge to the deep cosmic outer space - our home, where we all come from and where we all go in an endless cycle of creativity and creation..

Great! I have a question. How you make that vibrating bass in song "duality cipher"
@MartinStuertzer2 жыл бұрын
That is a good question. I think that it was a sound from Plaits (Mutable Instruments) with a LFO modulating the pitch or another parameter.

hi Martin, I would like to get into my generative, ambient music. I think I have a decent level of knowledge of synthesizers and have a Moog Grand Mother and several guitar effects pedals. I hesitate between buying a modular system or a Moog Studio 3 (Dfam, Mother 32 and Subharmonicon). what would be your advice? thank you for your help.
@MartinStuertzer2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I like synthesizers more than modular system and would probably get the moogs. For generative music a good sequencer is an important part of the setup, there are several options on the market that could "talk" to your synths. I prefer to use Ableton but if you check the usual suspects you might find some interesting hardware sequencers as well.
@notemeofficial2 жыл бұрын
@@MartinStuertzer thanks a lot for your answer. I also work on Ableton Live...I think using Moog's racks as a sound source with generative plugins might work well...I'll give it a try...thanks anyway for your help Martin.
@pauldavisthefirst2 жыл бұрын
@@MartinStuertzer software modular like VCV Rack probably offers the widest range and most diverse functionality for sequencing. It can be a little tricky to set up a "hybrid" system, but if you're just sending MIDI from Rack to some external h/w synths, not so much.
@KDWambient2 жыл бұрын
@MartinStuertzer2 жыл бұрын

Hi Martin, thx for the session. You recently used more sends than effect racks on each individual sound. Is there a particular reason for you in terms of workflow? Cheers
@MartinStuertzer2 жыл бұрын
It is easier to control the parameters of the effects with a midi controller when they all run into the same send instead of having them on separate channels. But I am still not sure what I prefer. :)
@dubioussource3492 жыл бұрын
@@MartinStuertzer for sure. Think it will depend on the role of each effect on the shape of the individual sounds. But one advantage could be the saving of some RAM by using sends only.
