Ambient on the Yamaha RS7000.

I had the honour to perform at my good friend and painter Sam Abercromby's art exhibition opening at Artspace João Carvalho in Alcanena, Portugal. I wrote this piece for the event but didn't record it at the venue.
Here, you're watching a studio recording of the same work, featuring footage from the event.
If you've ever used an RS7000, you know that it is a phenomenal instrument with virtually endless capabilities. You'll also know that there's a small hiccup, or glitch, when changing styles. I circumnavigated this fact by running it through a Midiverb 4. For this upload I opted for a ValhallaRoom preset (GothicCathedral) instead. Dynamic processing and slight EQ were added in Live. Other than that, 100% RS7000.

Many people wish that. I'm not sure. Looking at what's offered today, it seems the golden age for grooveboxes was around 20 years ago.

I can't believe my ears ! Everything sounds crisp and clear, the basses are loud but not muddy, the reverbs are precise. It might have taken you some time to tweak carefully every sounds.

when you are post processings in Live is it coming in as one stereo track? I imagine if you were to somehow find the aieb2 expansion you could multitrack record into Live and process that way?

I have the expansion and it's absolutely possible to multitrack it into Live. Don't let the difficulty of finding the expansion hold you back, though. I've found myself using the stereo out much more, throughout the years. Many agree with me on this!
