Life in the rave scene was incredible, when non-ravers ask how it was back then, I truly struggle to find the words to describe it. Raving was a lifestyle, the build up to the weekends, the trekking around London Oxford Street 'Mash' Camden 'Rocket' to buy tickets. Soho BlkMkt Records for Vinyl, the meet ups at your mates to mix tunze.. The comedown sessions and feeling like crap, already for the next weekend. I done from 92 to 98 buy then the scene was changing dramatically, and I went to my final rave 'World Dance' Wembley Conference Centre where my mind was made up raving for me had come to an end after 6 years! Gutted!

That's because outdoor raves were cold. I think people are overthinking this. If you think there weren't any girls in skimpy outfits, tattoos or fights back in the day then the drugs have very obviously screwed up your memory. Also by moaning about 'kids today' and all that you've become the people you went to raves to get away from. Congratulations folks, youve become your parents.

I know its easy to look back with rose tinted glasses and there were many social problems and issues going on in the world then as there are now, but people seemed to have a lot more FUN together in this era. I was post-rave era but I remember some mad parties even now 20-25 years later, waking up in a friend of a friend of a friend's house and walking home the next morning, having had a decent night out. I am 40+ and I find too many of the kids now so lacking in energy, enthusiasm direction and seemingly so boring and so conscience of their image, their projection rather than enjoying and living a fun life? I really feel they are missing out, good times make good memories for me. I feel sorry for them, I just do not see that buzz that we had in the 80s and 90s?

The very last time that I ever danced to this top tune of the 90s was at Helter Skelter 29th of April 1994 just as we was hitting a Bank Holiday. That and Dreamscape 11 was the last two raves I ever hit that actually meant something anymore. I did hit a Pleasuredome and a Distruxion in 95 but the writing had already been on the wall a while at that point. The magic was gone. I hung up my gloves after those two last raves it just wasn't the same anymore. The music and the pills went shit too. I was getting some banging Snowballs in 93 and still getting really good Doves in 93 and 94. I went to Dreamscape 11 with brown speckled Doves and they was alright too but my favourite Doves was the clean white Doves that looked like they'd been dipped in paint they was that white with like a clean shimmer in the light. Those were really rushy. The Snowballs were big and fat without no fracture line and no badge. Or the ones I was getting in 93 were. Those were fricking psychos, my first full pill was a Snowball and I was raging. Straight up raging like my soul was gonna burst from outta my skin and start flying around in circles over the crowd. I went to see Jumping Jack Frost that night at a club in my city. It was a guest appearance and was supposed to be his birthday I was told.
