Do I like the Viper?

Just some thoughts about my cars and where the Viper fits (or doesn't). At what point is not worth buying a different car vs modifying a car you have? These are the deep thoughts of the shop while considering the 2004 Dodge Viper SRT10 and comparing it to other cars like my 1967 Mustang or Datsun Z cars.

I like the honest opinion, and it’s a good point of view… i see it different and I love my viper even more than I did my S2k

They definitely have a deep pedal. I can see how it could lull someone. And such expensive tires are hard to replace when tread looks fine but they're 12 years old...

FYI...I'm thinking of getting rid of my 21 Supra for a 06 Viper....but I'm so torn...the Supra is a great car...and I've always wanted to own a Viper...performance wise they are pretty much equal (top speed aside)...but completely different paths to the same end.

Hey just curious, did you sell the mustang? Miss that content. Also had a question about the cooling of the mustang. I saw you did electric fan, from everything I can find the mechanical fan of setup properly can draw 3500-4000cfm where as electric isn’t even close, so curious why you went electric, as I’m debating that right now for my new 347 I’m about to drop in

I don't know where that math comes from for fan CFM, but electric fans will perform as well or better than mechanical fans. The blades generating air movement are not magically better on a mechanical fan. Additionally, mechanical fans spin based on engine RPM, so they move more air the faster the engine spins, which is the opposite of when you need more airflow in most applications as driving moves air through the radiator. Mechanical fans really shine where they need to always spin and need to be as durable as possible, which is more common when roads are worse, the equipment is used in a harsh environment, or never serviced/maintained. Electric fans have the general benefits of not constantly dragging down the performance of the engine, impacting the upsweep of engine RPMs, and being able to be adjusted to only run when the engine actually needs the extra cooling. They also allow for multiple fans to be used to create different packaging options and redundancies.
I broke my Viper...
