The way you describe this fragrance is so well done and the pictures you paint with the rose are spot on!

Nailed it. Gonna do a review of this soon and you're the first person to describe that salty oceanic quality of the amber gris in this fragrance. Also the "ghost rose" is a perfect way of explaining that subtle rose; to me it's blended with a bit of patchouli. It's truly masterful, love it for Spring

Great review...beautifully done! It smells exactly the way you described. I also get both ambergris and amber. The only thing I don’t totally agree with is the performance...I don’t get good performance with it; it could be that you have the original, not the reformulation...if so, lucky you!
@TheScentinel6 жыл бұрын
Mrs Press i didn't realise there was reformulation. I will check, but yes, i am lucky with this one.

Thanks Pep. This has definitely jumped to the top of my try list. How does it compare to Tauer PHI Un Rose de Kandahar (my current favorite rose)? Sounds different, but I noticed the rose and amber ties...

Wore this first time today & its an instant love although I may be a little biased as I’m a big amber fan. At first I thought it was a little soft & I had to really get in close to smell it but soon realised I may get olfactory fatigue to it quickly as others around me said the whole room smelled “very nice”. Was picking up occasional wafts of it during the day but its not one I know is on me at all times. Hoping this may just be a bad day & next time I pick it up more as this juice is up there with the best Amber offerings out there. Great review Pep & loved the way you described the rose 👍

This is such a comforting and beautiful smell. It seems soft but has good longevity and projection. Too bad they only come in those big prive line bottles that will last for 5 generations.

I wish There was a store in my city that stocked the Dior La Collection Privee line. It would be great to get to try them. I would even like to get my nose on Leather Oud. On a different topic, have you tried any of the Map Of The Heart perfumes? I would love to get your opinion as to whether any of their fragrances smell as good as their bottles look.
