It's always fun to hear how other individuals decide on how they rotate their fragrances. I personally love to wear my fragrances based on the vibe of the day, or practically how I feel. I have fragrances that invigorate me on a working day. On the other hand, I have fragrances that I wear when I feel like I'm in a brooding mood, which happens way too often.

Wow such discipline, I basically spend half a minute in front of my perfume collection every day, after I dressed up and did my make up for the day and choose something intuitively which fits the vibe :D I do track what I am wearing though, and if I haven't worn something from my collection at least 3 times a year, it has to go, I only keep a decant.

I LOVE that you shared that with us. You remind me of my brother… although he’s more OCD I imagine. When we lived together I remember he would wear his shirts in the order they hung in his closet, and play his board games and watch his dvd sets / movies in alphabetical order. I found it so interesting and also opposite to myself being a very emotionally expressive and intuitive decision maker. Hearing about your past selection processes was so interesting and I can really see how the spreadsheet method would really help you to refine your collection. Thanks so much for the video!

Amazing. I do a combo systematic / intuitive. Based on my last worn, I pull my 14 last worn. They go into that weeks “perfume tray”. Then each day I intuitively select from that tray, I do day and night too. They reset the following week. I like the structure and the options.

I enjoyed hearing your process. I am not disciplined enough to have a spread sheet and make sure everything gets enjoyed. I know personally there is kinda a little thought that goes into pick the daily scent like you mentioned. the weather and the activity for the day and who I will be seeing. I know for the future I will not bring in any larger size bottles because I want to go through my collection and not be wasteful. I know I personally enjoy looking at the dents and saying to myself I really have been enjoying this one. Thanks again for a great video Pep.

Good to hear your process! Occasion, weather, and vibe all play into my daily SOTD. I manage my collection in Parfumo and a google spreadsheet, and keep a seasonal wardrobe to wear through all my fragrances. I used to track my SOTD, but now just pick and go.

Fascinating. I am not using my spreadsheet for tracking wears. I like that it pays homage to all the bottles, including the ones to be culled. Would you consider flow charts, color coding? For example tracking the note/accord data using color for mood/attraction to the scent? Anyhow thanks. I’m on a long train ride & this is fun. So fun the pure intuition challenge - maybe instead of text tracking the intuitive choices you could assign color… Good luck.

Yeah I just pick based on my mood and the weather, but it's pretty easy to do with a collection of 18 frags (I used up 17 frags this year). I tend to wear through my samples and decants given by friends quite quickly, as they seem to go bad. I would definitely have a rotation system if I had a bigger collection, and your system sounds very considered, Pep

I don't even know how to make a spreadsheet (I'm a musician so it probably makes sense ~ failed money maker for life!) but this is interesting for sure, Pep! Me: I wake up, look at all the bottles, say out loud ~ "Who wants to spray today?" and I pick... I know, I know, unscientific as shit but it seems to work. Great viddy!

I religiously use my spread sheet to track what scents and clothes I'm wearing. I primarily work on seasonal inspiration along with either an internal or external motivation/goal. I use the spread sheet to look at trends and to use those to remind me about what I'm not paying enough attention to.

I think it makes a difference if you're reviewing fragrances or if you're just wearing what you like. The "scientific" approach makes a lot of sense if you're reviewing. I have 4 shelves and I have my fragrences split in gym, cold weather, warm weather and one for the rest. My system is flawed because I tend to "save" the good/expensive ones for "special" occations.
