I've experienced first hand how big the boat wake it makes in the Vogalonga 2023 regatta. There was an emergency mid route, and it rushed past me from behind, causing larger rowing boats to smash into me and tip me over while I was waiting for water. Caught me off guard completely as I was not expecting a big wave to come out of nowhere. Lost a 360 camera in the fall too, along with all the footage ofcourse :'( Nevertheless I hope the person in the boat was ok and managed to get to the hospital in time. I am wondering why the heck do they not have a more efficient boat that makes less wake, this was huge O.o

@@VeneziaNowNow oh for sure! But I’ve heard that wake damage is starting to be a problem, although I could be wrong. At any rate the other vessels had to deal with the wake. However given the mission of the ambulance I’m sure no one is too upset. I’m just making an observation that perhaps a better design for the ambulance boat would allow it to move smartly while making less of a disturbance and there for distressing everyone less, including the patient. Neat video though. Do the police drive battleships? LOLZ!

L'ospedale è in centro a Venezia, a piazzale Roma arrivano le ambulanze su gomma. Poi per raggiungere i vari target a Venezia si deve per forza passare per i vari canali.

Sopra l'ospedale c'è leliporto . Ma a Venezia non potresti atterrare da nessuna parte . E tanto meno abbassare una barella .. penso che inizierebbe a volare tegole ovunque . Se non è proprio una super emergenza le ambulanze di solito non corrono tra i canali .. le ambulanze non sono un grosso problema . Fanno più danni i barconi di ferro . Che sono sempre di più. So che volevano vietarli ti entrare per i canali .
