I’m on CAPD here in the UK and I tell you it’s a totally different set up here altogether I don’t do the ‘7 step washing’ every 2 minutes. Only the once. Maybe the US has a different way or it changed when I started almost 3 Years ago

How long does this take you to do? How often a week and times throughout the day do you do it?
@Miss_Pearls Жыл бұрын
It depends on how much dialysis you need. For example, some people will do up to 2 or 4 manual daily exchanges, 6 to 7 days a week. The dialysate comes in varying strengths too.

You have to do this 4 times a day? People take care of your kidneys! This is not a joke. Prevention is better than cure.
@antoniogourdine33993 жыл бұрын
4x a day for 30 minutes or do it once at night while you sleep ..your doctor will determine how many times in a week of PD is needed
@andreaskitchen52963 жыл бұрын
It's not preventable for everybody. Yes many people but, some people were born with kidney malformations, other people like my husband went into acute kidney failure due to an illness and didn't recover.
@overcomingfrankie302 жыл бұрын
Correct, kidney disease is no joke. But my kidney disease was not caused by my lifestyle or diet, I have small kidneys which were scarred by a medication I needed to treat a life long condition. That condition is no longer under control due to stopping that medication AND I have CKD on top of it. All I ever did was look after my body.
@heatherrowles25802 жыл бұрын
Ive had 20 surgeries and have heart failure. My kidney disease is due to that.....nothing I did or did not do could prevent it. Look after your body but dont kick yourself if somehow that effort fails, down that road is depression and a struggle to deal with your conditions.
@coffeeandhorses79912 жыл бұрын
Totally incorrect ! Ppl can get kidney disease no matter what. Doesn't matter how much "clean" food , fresh air and exercise ppl get.
