AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS MORE Gameplay Benchmarks [12 Games Tested]

More games tested on a AMD Ryzen 8845HS mini pc with the Radeon 780M GPU.
We used the GMKtec Nucbox K8, but the same AMD Ryzen 8845HS can also be found in other mini PCs, like the Beelink SER8, InnoByte Edge 8000, GEM12, SkyBarium Mini PC, AOOSTAR, and the Chatreey AN3.
The Ryzen 7 8845HS has 8 Cores, 16 threads, and can boost up to 5.1GHz. It uses the AMD Radeon 780M GPU, which has 12 Cores, which runs up to 2800 MHz.

1 or 2 more generations and these things will be real options for gaming rigs. Im not sure how they will hold up to 14 consecutive hours of children screaming in my ear on Fortnite but if they can gey the heat managed properly, these little square plastic boxes have the potential to be real contenders very soon.

My bad. I looked at the video again. You did use the latest BIOS and turned off the IPU. Helps when I pay attention. 🙂

Yes, latest BIOS, and turned off the IPU like before. IPU uses more power, raising temps and gives us less headroom. As this doesn't benefit us in gaming, turning this off helps. It also delays Skynet and Judgement Day. 🎃

How was the DDR5 Ram temperature?

@TeamPandory I've heard the maximum VRAM that can be assigned to the graphics is 4gb. I've tried to increase it on my system and set it to 6gb and got a BSOD the day after. On the other hand do we really have to assign RAM to the graphics. Doesn't it take the needed RAM automatically?

Depends on the bios. On this gmktec k8 we can set it to AUTO, 2gb,3gb,4gb,6gb or 8gb. I think 🤔. Sorry it's been a week 😂

My bios let's me set it to 16gb. Buty system crashed the day after. So I thought it could be because of it. But setting it to auto would do the same job, doesn't it?

@@Al_Barrel I think it depends. If you set it to 16gb, that would tell software you have 16gb of GPU memory to play with, whereas if it's on auto it may tell software it has next to nothing, giving other problems. Of course it isn't set to nothing, it would increase / decrease depending on the usage. Auto would be best for most, especially if you want your computer to have a lot of memory in windows (productivity etc), but for a middle ground / gaming setup, maybe 3-4 would be the sweet spot.

@TeamPandory Good to know. Did you notice some issues with Bluetooth yet? I noticed some problems using controllers connected via Bluetooth. Every once in a while movement stutters/lags or is inaccurate and if I move to far away from it, (maybe 4-5 meters) it loses connection completely.

I just picked up a hp victus laptop with the 8845HS and a 4060 8gb from microcenter for 659$ after tax! Really impressed so far. Super cool to run on the internal GPU and be able to game at such low wattage.

This is impressive!! But it seems that the only real difference between the 7840HS and the 8845HS is that the latter has an NPU. So could I just get a mini pc with the 7840HS and get similar gaming performance?

They both have an NPU. Just the 8845HS has more ai cores. Yes. Gaming performance is similar, but this may change if games start using ai. Out of these two, personally I'd go for the cheapest :-)
