Why contests? How about giveaways instead. Powwows are prayers in active force, not $, right? And Regalia are statements of one’s Spiritual path; a way to outwardly pray because the sacred Singers and drums and eagle-bone whistles are enough combined with the dances that are blessings and prayers in and of themselves. Of course celebrate each other and our ancestors in every way we can, but work away from commercialism, except if the money is given to each other to lighten this artifice life we are expected to support. The good Red Road calls for a real return to our Ancestor’s way.
