Its the first ever movie that got me caring about something and emotionally invested outside of the movie, specifically the environment. Before then it was just fun mindless action like transformers and comedies or something.

I really like the sub message in the movie. I think the captain said it best. "I don't want to survive, I want to live". Auto is the idea of settling for what you have and not taking a risk for a possibly better life. But once the captain knows about earth and a better way to live, he fights with auto's ideologies, eventually having to stand. Something unheard of in the captain's generation. Wall-E kind of has this too with wanting a companion like in the movie he watches, "hello dolly" (that's the movie he watches in his house). I really like the message. You should strive to make things better, even if it may be hard, and even if it seems like nobody cares.

Wall-e is a freaking masterpiece, I love it when an author can tell a cohesive story with little to no dialogue. Each frame of this movie oozes with personality, there's so much attention to detail in every nook and cranny. The world building is fucking great, the characters are spectacular, the settings and environments are awe inspiring and the score is just beautiful.

It's basically a less graphic Terminator. And we are heading down that path now. We don't need autonomous machines to do everything that we can do ourselves well enough
@Citrusautomaton
@Citrusautomaton Жыл бұрын
@@michaelbreckshot6589 Less graphic Terminator? None of the Robots hate Humans for some nonsense reason, in fact, the Robots in this film seem to have an undying friendship with Humans(at least now that they're no longer their servants) the only one with a dubious relationship with Humanity is Auto, but he has been shown to have no free-will so he's not evil. In conclusion, the Humans AND Robots in Wall-E are victims of a greedy corporation, Humans are victims because they have been reduced to mindless consumers thanks to generations upon generations of brainwashing coupled with the fact that BnL control everything and, therefore, would be considered a pillar of society rather than an abhorrent tumor. Robots are victims because, despite the fact that they are autonomous beings, they are forced to uphold and maintain Human society including BnL making them forced to continue a terrible legacy. On top of that they are forced to do the bidding of Humanity cleaning, providing food, and generally being unpaid servants. They are also built specifically for one task. How would you feel if you knew you were built for one specific purpose probably not to good, eh'? Once both Humans and Robots were freed via going back to Earth they ended their horrible way of life by no longer participating in the society BnL wanted them to be in, instead, breaking a social barrier by having Humanity and Robotics come together in harmony and construct some kind of Solarpunk utopia.

As a kid I used to found really satisfying everything on Wall-E's house, idk, the way everything was organized kinda reminded me to the scene of the guy that repaired Woody on Toy Story 2. I would say they've been talking about it since the late 19th Century actually, when the first nature reserves starting popping up within the United States. Illegal dumping of harmful chemicals also started getting banned, though it was hard to enforce. I know the Victorian era saw the introduction of a lot of nasty new toxic materials into the world, and it often took decades before people realized how negative the effects of them were. Like for example literally adding Borax to Milk to remove the bitter flavor when it starts to go bad. Lead to the deaths of a lot of children because well they were drinking spoiled milk. Though I think the message in this film is kinda broken. When you look at it critically anyways. Trash isn't a issue for the developed world. However, the Corporatism seen in the film is spot on. For a corporation to grow as large as Buy in Large, it would literally require being part of the State itself. Most Corporations can not grow large without the assistance of central states, regulations, and anti competition laws, which heavily favor large corporations. Being Corporations are basically just collectively owned, large trade unions, they pretty much operate like a State within the Greater State already, so it wouldn't take a big shift in how a Company Operates to go from being a Corporation to being well the "State" in the context seen in Wall-E.

It's truly sad how she instantly had the idea that the drinks are dead people. But look at the demographic of the people on the spaceship. There are no old people. Well you could argue they all died from various diseases from their overweight. But do you think a clever ship that's in space for such a long time would waste perfectly fine ingredients? I don't think so.

@@handhelder823 I just thought of it and 700 years of bodies? Were would they place them? The cemetery that was never planned because they planned the trip to be only 5 years long? Duh. It's either throw the bodies into space with the other trash or use it. I bet they even have to eat their own recycled waste.

God this movie is something else. So much detail... The soundtrack is a fucking masterpiece. Even with small dialog they still have a way to convey emotion through body language.

legitimately, honestly, Wall-E is probably my favorite Pixar/Disney movie. It's an overly wholesome movie while still being so horribly brutal to the main character. It's so horrifying to see after how safe the world is to just suddenly see Wall-E brutally stabbed and crushed to death, it genuinely hurts seeing it happen to such a happy and nice character.
