You can scan my brain. The skull hit the pavement I was a LMSW medical social worker.. 3 years ago .. I may not be athletic but I am a mom , healer and trying to educate about TBI even in my struggles

She is so amazing for doing this. The standard care for a head injury is pathetic. Then we are surprised when we have so many problems with mental health issues. You said it’s a little crazy no one looks at the brain, I am thinking a lot crazy. When you were asking her how long she pole vaulted for it was funny because she does not know there is a difference in density between gray and white matter in the brain and when acceleration deceleration forces are applied to the brain it can cause axonal shearing. Coaches don’t tell you this, no biggie it just effects the whole quality of your whole life. So glad she did this publicly. We need more courageous people like this in the world. My recommendation is HBOT and being mindful about how much the brain is shaking around in the skull. I’am assuming she is already doing HBOT or her brain would look a lot worse.
