The humility of this man to still look for ways to improve with all of his past accomplishments is amazing. Currently reading your book,WOS Mark. Hope to share my story with you one day.

Good for his courage to share his story publicly. Thank you for sharing! Showing “vulnerability” is a strength, not a weakness and we would all be better for learning how to articulate our inner worlds, not repress them. All of our military and vets deserve regular therapy or counseling. Taking care of brain health is smart health as should everyone in this complex and stressful world. Work on self is strengthening, not weakening. Working on brain physiology via self expression is healthy brain building. Repressing our thoughts inadvertently feeds our “demons” growing them to self-sabotage. Ultimately this tears people apart, not builds them up. It is a myth, not science, that self neglect builds mental strength. People do learn skills enduring abuse, yet people are not stronger for being abused. Everyone responds differently and the outcomes are hugely variable. We must credit people for teaching themselves to overcome. Toxic practices like neglect are abuse. Abuse destroys, not builds. Psychological strength is built by tending to ourselves not inducing suffering. Strength is built in times of health, not destruction. It is the same as muscle building. Anything can be taught in a healthy or toxic way. The results for teaching healthy practices dominate the toxic everytime. Healthily strengthening the minds of people will make any team dominate over those taught toxic teachings. Our service members deserve good health not antiquated and false, unscience based stigma. This goes for every human as a right. Neglecting health and each other should have gone out of fashion centuries ago. This is only a matter of teaching and our species deserves the best, not disproven and outdated social standards. We must level up!

Thanks Mark for doing this. Could you have David Goggins on your show next. Hiding head injuries for fear of embarrassment needs to stop. And what does that is real courage. When the truth comes out you get to see who has it. A great example of that is Miley Cyrus coming out on the Joe Rogan show. How come we have not heard from Joe Rogan about his scan results? We have heard from Mike Tyson, Bella Hadid, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber. Where is everyone else? Not a fan of hiding SPECT scans for fear of embarrassment. That’s not very tough.

So you set the computer at 55 and anything below that shows up as dents on the scan. Will the computer tell you how much of a reduction in bloodflow there is like 80 or 100% reduction, so will it let distinguish between dead tissue and damaged or hurt tissue? So for example if there was a gunshot wound to the head, that would be dead tissue but a head injury could just be a mild reduction in bloodflow. How do you distinguish the two on a scan?
