I really liked this video. The journalist did not hide at all that she had other opinions, but it felt the whole time that she was interviewing these women in good faith, and with a genuine intention to understand why they think the way they do. Everyone says they want less polarisation, but few do the actual work, which is first and foremost to listen to the other side. This is true for most of us, no matter how we vote, and we can do better.

@@d.ingram6264 I’d say that depends on the context. In many circumstances you are right, especially when interviewing prominent figures. But in this case, there was no story, it was simply a portrait of a few female Trump voters. Wouldn’t even go as far as to call this journalism. And for this format, her approach worked really well I thought. You’d never get these answers if you were fact checking them as they spoke, or attacking them, since they’d just get defensive. This felt like they shared what they actually thought, may that be coherent or not. It worked because the reporter was genuinely curious to listen to the people she disagreed with, which is really rare nowadays.

She was a dynamo. So was my father. Women may have had it better in the 1950s. Lots of women had many kids and no job outside the home then. Their husbands stayed married to them. Their grandmothers weren't working so they helped out, too. The issue is this. Can women expect to have a good life today if they are in a family with a good income? Trump, Vance and Project 2025 creators have none of the above and want to do away with all of the above and make an unfit, unqualified lunatic like Trump an autocratic dictator. He's an ajudicated sex offender, a proven racist, and self-proclaimed mysoginist, as well as a twice impeached, convicted felon on all 34 counts, and has even more criminal cases on the dockets in several states, some of which several of his partners in crime have already confessed to and agreed to plea deals and/or are prosecutor's witnesses. The American Psycological Association has issued a WARNING to the American public and written several books as a DUTY TO WARN us that he's a malignant narcissist, which has no cure, thus he's a danger to society. His narcissm makes him a pathological liar with little to no empathy who constantly PROJECTS all his evil, sick ways onto others. Most everything he says is a lie and his projections are confessions. Even former GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan called him a "populist authoritarian narcissist." He's a disgrace and underserving to have the Highest Office of the land, POTUS Not on my watch, if I can help it. Furthermore, we live in a country that has a two party system, like it or not. No third party has ever won, and none will win this time. VOTING is BOTH A RIGHT AND A DUTY, so staying at home and opting not to vote is not an option. That's what helped to give us Trump and his decade reign of fascist, racist domestic terrorism!!!! Filled with hate, racism, sexism, xenophobia, and MORE lies, grifting, cheating, using, abusing and accusing than ever before in politics. Fratenizing with ENEMIES while alienating ALLIES. He also appointed several Supreme Court Justices who are liars and corrupt and have turned back the hands of time by ending freedoms and rights that historically marginalized, disenfranchised, discriminated against, hurt and held down peoples who had boycotted, protested, marched, fought, even cried, bled and died to achieve. VP Kamala Harris has a RESUME of RELEVANT to the job of POTUS proven accomplishments, achievements, contributions, education, experience that includes Lawyer, DA, Prosecutor, Attorney General, Senator and Vice POTUS. There's no comparison to his RESUME of failed businesses and mumerous bankruptcies where he hurt MANY SMALL businesses and individuals he cheated. As POTUS, he rode in on Obama's, his racially charged arch nemisis, upward trends after he saved the country from one of the worse recessions in our nation's history that he inherited from Bush, and it almost went into a depression. Trump then, for selfish reasons, mismanaged the pandemic causing death, loss, mayhem and madness that had not been seen in our generations. His resume shows that he's unqualified and his RAP SHEET of crimes should DISQUALIFY him--PERIOD. In some states felons can't vote. Come out of your denial and accept that your great white hope is a CONVICTED FELON who will be sentenced to do some time for his crimeS!!! His own former VP, whom he tried to kill during the insurrection he orchestrated,-- IS NOT endorsing him and many, many, many Republicans are not only NOT endorsing him, they ARE PUBLICLY ENDORSING HARRIS & WALZ and encouraging others to do so, too. I think the easiest way is to look at the definition of 'racist.' Using a basic Google search as a source, the definition of racist is to show "prejudice, discrimination or antagonism against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized." Although he just says 'immigrants' a lot of the time, it's not difficult to figure out what group of people he means. No one is building a wall between America and Canada. There's one partially erected at the southern American border separating us from Mexico. Of those immigrants, he says they're "rapists, murders and they bring drugs into the country." The insinuation is that 100% of the illegal immigrants coming from Mexico are doing this, when statistically that'd be almost impossible. Arguably, one could say he doesn't mean all of them, but he never specifies a percentage or statistic to back up this claim. Looking at the recent dog/cat/geese accusations, he's referring to Springfield, OH where thousands of Haitians were invited to come to the city to stimulate their economy. The town's leadership have said there were no such claims/reports and requested to be left out of the spotlight, but both Trump and Vance doubled down on the accusations. Trump even said he was considering going to Springfield after they explicitly asked that no presidential candidates visited because it wouldn't be good for them. For a bonus example, I'd say even the accusation of people stealing "Black" jobs is a little suspicious. What exactly is a Black job? The last time there was a specific 'job' for Blacks, I'm pretty sure it was out working in the fields as slaves. Playing devil's advocate again, being a slave is not an occupation, but that still begs the question: What is a Black job? If someone knows, please educate me, I'm still not sure. You could argue that he himself isn't racist (if you'd like, it is a free country, after all). But a lot of the things he says sound quite racist based on the definition of the word. I think that's what people are referring to when they make claims that he himself is racist.

It’s true. It’s called narcissistic charm. where they project an image of warmth, generosity, and charisma to gain admiration and approval from others. Narcissists may be adept at making a good first impression by being polite, engaging, and seemingly empathetic. However, this facade typically doesn’t last. As relationships progress, narcissistic individuals may reveal manipulative, self-centered, and exploitative traits, particularly when they no longer need to maintain the illusion of kindness.

@@cathylindeboo.9598 The OP is correct. Narcissists appear gracious and thoughtful to others -- it's part of how they're able to gaslight their victims -- they can appear that way to their direct victims, too, until the victim understands whats happening or the narcissist accidentally lets the mask slip. It's why Narcissism and psychopathy (with it's superficial charm) are closely related and form part of the dark triad, along with Machiavellianism.

What if all the people who came forward to say he'd SAd them were confirming that he sometimes brags rather than lies? Sometimes, people say what they really think. And your uncles may have been kind hearted men who insulted women but fixed cars.. Fine, as uncles, if you're okay with that. Not president material, though.
