Somewhere in my head was the scrap of info that this configuration existed, but had never heard them before. Aside from a couple of awkward lines that had twice as many words as could fit the tune this ticked a lot of boxes for me (also reminded me quite a bit of Jackson Browne's For America from the same year, no bad thing) and given that I'm one of the 6 people who actually likes the 1989 Jefferson Airplane reunion album I reckon I need to check this album out, thanks guys (and Dwight of course).

Oh, maybe an idea to add (Jefferson Airplane offshoot) or something to nab a few more casual viewers interest, just a thought. :D

I had totally forgotten about this song and Paul, Marty and Jack getting together at this point. Really great to hear it again. Great review and thanks to Dwight for this suggestion.

The Jefferson Airplane minus Grace and Jorma. And that was the original fracture of the Airplane before all of the permutations to follow. Jorma's song Third Week in the Chelsea from JA details the Airplane's initial collapse pretty well.

We will have to check that out. Thanks Robert!

Saw this song live, by SF Marina about 85 or 86. What you should know is that when they say getting the medal “ from the President of the United States of America“ Marty Balin the singer would hold his nose because, at the time Reagan, unpopular in California due to his time as governor, was president.

This artist and song are new to me. It looks like a song about America and a brief History of events. Interesting subject for a song lyrically. The music sounds like straightforward rhythm Rock. You guys captured the essence of the meaning of this song in your comments. Trey, your rating is a high 7.75 and Shawn, your rating is a solid 7.5. I would probably rate this a 7.0.
