Always great to see someone else cutting firewood! All we had was a wood stove as a kid. Chain saws and log splitters and some cold nights if the fire went out. As an adult now I realize how much it taught me. "Don't put a wood stove in my house" 🤣

Done that , cutting wood when its 98F outside. It just wears you out fast! I will cut in summer but never in the full sun on a day that hot anymore!

I agree cold winter is the time to cut wood. Will must be slick talker to convince Sammy to cut him a load of wood. Locust has more heat in it and is amazing, dries fast and stupid heat. Also i love good white oak for heat, better than hickory to me.

I don’t think I even ever cut a Locust tree.

@Jtwes hard on chains!! Dries down really fast, usually a year or a little more. Has more BTUs than white of and Hickory..not combined but more than each of those species. Coals up really well too.
