Locust has more heat in it and is amazing, dries fast and stupid heat. Also i love good white oak for heat, better than hickory to me.

I agree cold winter is the time to cut wood. Will must be slick talker to convince Sammy to cut him a load of wood. Prayers for your family to have a merry Christmas, many blessings in the coming year. Enjoy your videos, they bring good memories of my years past. I'll wave as I head past on I85 over the holidays.

Always great to see someone else cutting firewood! All we had was a wood stove as a kid. Chain saws and log splitters and some cold nights if the fire went out. As an adult now I realize how much it taught me. "Don't put a wood stove in my house" 🤣

Not related, did farmall make a broadcast spreader to go on the back of a 140? If not,Can I convert a three point hitch spreader to one point, and will the drive shift hook up and run fine?
@Jtwes
@Jtwes 4 күн бұрын
Hey Andrew I think your biggest obstacle would be the pto shaft not rubbing on anything because it’s to the left when the spreader is centered.

The 140 is the finest garden and small farm tractor that was ever made in my opinion. The Allis Chalmers G comes in as almost as good at cultivating especially on hilly ground. Joey I now own a 140 thanks to you and this channel. I appreciate the time and effort you put into the channel.

Ground conditions look really good for disking. Really helps that disk harrow stand out with the notched disks and little bit heavier trash. Your 140 does a great job of bringing it together. 👍

very Good question. you can use it on hills but you have to be very mindful of the weight being stacked to one side. I don't know what its limit is as far as angles but when im on hills I try to keep the engine side up hill.

It’s great to see all the details and tips you’ve shared to help others get the most out of this classic tractor. Thanks for breaking everything down so clearly, i 'm sure it will be really helpful for anyone looking to work on their own Farmall! 👏

Great video Joey. I wish I had your equipment line up. Finding fast hitch stuff is getting harder as the years go by. When you can find it, it’s not cheap. I would like to find a one bottom plow, a 122 disc and a chisel plow. I’m using my Kubota to break and disc now, which is fine, but would love to have the joy of doing it all with the 140s.
@Jtwes

Our 51 Farmall Cub pulled most of the same implements that you showed (except the 2 bottom plow and the and big disc). As for fertilizer, we only used horse manure that we spread and disced under every fall. Unfortunately, we never used a hand planter. Most of our planting was on hands and knees but I still miss it all these years later. Thanks for another great video.
