So glad people have discovered us. The seafood in Rhode Island is as good as anywhere in the world. Thank you for pointing out that the people there put it over the top. In southern Rhode Island the people are still friendly and welcoming unlike say in New York City or most American cities.

I'm dying to go to the Nordic Lodge. My wife and I talk about it from time to time. The problem is, she is only 105 lb and would not be able to eat enough to make it worth her while. But I want to go with her. I think we're just going to go this year anyway. Overall, I think Rhode Island consistently has the best food of any state in which I've traveled. I've lived in Florida. I've lived in the Chicago area. I've lived in Southern California. I've eaten in approximately 25 states, and I'm from Rhode Island and live again in Rhode Island now. Rhode Island has more privately-owned family restaurants than any other state per capita. It also has more bars and nightclubs per capita of any state in America. Rhode Island is such a cool place to go out and get a meal and grab some entertainment. It features more annual festivals than any other state in the country, at over 900. We just had the Newport Folk Festival last week. I think it was two weeks before that that we had the Charlestown Cajun Food Festival that brings in tens of thousands of people to eat seafood. All your points of interest - great restaurants, historic sites, entertainment venues, the finest and most-varied architecture in the Western Hemisphere in the capitol city of Providence, a world-class art museum, and nature preserves - are all condensed into a tiny place where everything is just 30 minutes away and parking is easy. You could be in one of the Impressionists painting rooms at the famed Rhode Island of School of Design Art Museum and be the only one in the room looking at a Van Gogh, then 30 minutes later you could be hiking trails in old-growth forests with ponds, cliffs, streams and rivers. There are probably a thousand restaurants in Rhode Island that serve excellent seafood. But of course, The Nordic Lodge is one of the legendary seafood restaurants of Rhode Island. Come and visit in the summer. Your mind will be blown. Taylor Swift didn't buy her summer home here for nothing. Before the end of this year, mark my words, I will have my feedbag stuffed with Nordic Lodge delicacies.

Hi Stephanie, hope you get a chance to go when things settle down! Definitely worth a visit there if you're nearby 🙂

That prime rib was so nice, fatty & luscious. Nicest looking prime rib, I've seen at any of your buffets...and it was cooked perfectly! The lobster & King crab was definitely worth the 2nd trip. This place is going on my bucket list, but I'll fly to Providence instead of NYC. Thanks, Tim, I'm re-watching this one! 🤗❤️😋👍👍

Definitely worth the wait for this video ! Congrats again on the sponsorship Tim😃 I saw this buffet from Mike Chen but you just made it way better so I definitely have to take the family one day..just hope they still have everything from this video 🤞you almost ☠️ me when you said I'm trying to watch my weight 😆 I 😍 clams but I can't do them raw so I don't know how you do it Tim. I'm sorry if I put you on the spot for this question but between this buffet and Cafe Sierra, which one do you like better 😁
@TimLeeLetsGo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks again David! I hope you get a chance to go and it's actually quite comparable to the cost of a Texas State Fair ;-). It was a great experience and I think your kids would love the ice cream sundae bar! The clams and oysters are quite interesting, they seem a lot more brinier out east than on the west coast! Very different; and very good. Cafe Sierra and The Nordic is a very close one. I believe Cafe Sierra actually has a greater selection of items (and all of which are good). I think what set this apart was the hospitality there; food was amazing also and while it was hard to show, those lobsters at the Nordic was huge...(not the canner lobsters). Actually, from behind the camera, it was really the good natured and welcoming/attentive hosts and servers that made it special. Anyhow, can go wrong with either place.

@@TimLeeLetsGo if this place was in Texas the line would be in the parking lot 😆 hopefully we can go next summer 🤞 I forgot to ask you ..was the maximum 2 hours dining enforced ?
@TimLeeLetsGo3 жыл бұрын
@@DavidSriracha ahh, on their website, there is a 2 hour limit specified; but when I was there, it was full but no one was waiting so I stayed well over the 2hr mark. I asked if I've overstayed, but they said just stay and enjoy. I got a cookie for the ride back too.😋

Omg, this is the one and only restaurant that I'd like to patronize. Maybe this summer we can drive over there, eat, spend the night and drive back the next day.

Hi Merrill, it was certainly an amazing place! The good folks there seem to take pride in their food and hospitality and it shows. Thanks for the heads up, and I did see Mikey Chen's video there... Gosh, wish I knew about using the lobster bisque as a dip for lobster! That would have been nice...maybe next time ;-D

Yourself & the staff are so friendly to one another… like Chick-fil-A/Trader Joe’s at a buffet… all customers/service workers should have interact this way
@twdjt62453 жыл бұрын
At first I thought it wasn’t worth the 125$, since everything they had so far was the same as you see at my local 15$ Chinese/American buffet…..but then you got to the lobster, the king crab, the filet mignon, and those absolutely epic looking desserts…oh my. Just kept getting better and better lol. Definitely putting on my must visit list.

Oh Jen! You gotta go for it. It was quite the experience and as good as the food was, the people were even better! All the best to you!

@@TimLeeLetsGo if I went, I’d have to eat mostly seafood, steak, and desserts to feel like I’d gotten my money’s worth, but it’d be totally worth it IMO 😂

I still don’t think I could eat $125 worth of food in one sitting to make it worthwhile, especially factoring in I’m married so it would be $250, but I guess it’s something you do for the experience. But the buffet at Caesar’s Palace would be in the same league for about $85 per person.

Very impressive first-class buffet with a very impressive selection of top quality shellfish! Good selection of other dishes & desserts to be enjoyed after filling up on the King Crab & Lobster. Too bad it's located off-the-beaten-track, but if you're driving from NYC to Boston it could be very convenient for dinner & a local AirBnB for the night😄⭐
