THIS is how interviews are supposed to be, ask your questions and let the person explain their case, leave your bias and activism at the door. Unfortunately these days many journalists have forgotten this and they go into interviews with an agenda of what they want to hear and steer the interviews in their viewers “interests”.

You know, I don’t agree with Steve Bannon on a lot of things. But I really enjoy hearing what he has to say and watching him give more context about what he believes in. And that’s how it should be. You’re right except that there are limits to a welfare state, which we’re increasingly moving towards. Free immigration would break the system and hurt the taxpayers who have been supporting it. Personally I think we should phase out government programs and raise immigration caps proportionately.

Every time I listen to Bannon I am more impressed , learn so much of the 'ins and outs', he gives me a better understanding of what's going on from a big picture perspective. I like the way he sums it up, right wing populism is about decreasing the administrative state (to benefit the middle class) , true ownership and wealth creation for them, and left-wing populism is about increasing the administrative State, Big Govt welfare socialist system that gives more power to the State and less power to the little guy (the serfs). . Populist Nationalism vs Populist Socialism.
@mikewebber1085
@mikewebber1085 4 жыл бұрын
First off, in modern USA there are no serfs. The little guy, as you call them, is an underpaid worker struggling to make a living. Decrease the powers of the administrative state; sure lets let more Boeing Max 7's crash and kill people. As long as Boeing is making a fortune and the shareholders are happy, who cares. Not you. Reducing regulations and the regulatory powers of the govt. will only benefit the ruling class and there political yes men. There is no reason why Populist Socialism can't work to benefit all the people. If you can dream it you can have it. Look what mankind had done when large groups of people work together.

@@sanniepstein4835 Ames, Iowa, police arrested Martinez in the early hours of June 11, after police said he had caused a disturbance at a local bar and threatened to burn down the establishment, before returning with an LGBT rainbow flag he stole from the Ames United Church of Christ, and setting fire to it outside the bar. Martinez admitted to his crimes in an interview with KCCI, saying he was motivated by an antipathy towards homosexuality and that he had “burned down their pride, plain and simple.” Despite his on-screen confession, Martinez pleaded not guilty to three charges, the Story County Attorney’s Office told Snopes: Third-degree arson, an aggravated misdemeanor which typically carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison; third-degree harassment, a simple misdemeanor; and reckless use of fire or explosives, a serious misdemeanor that typically carries a maximum prison sentence of one year. Martinez had two previous felony convictions, meaning that under Iowa law, he was sentenced as an “habitual offender.” It was this legal provision, triggered by the hate crime charge, that multiplied his prison sentence to 15 years. If Martinez’ act of arson had not constituted a hate crime, he would have faced a maximum sentence of two years in prison. With the hate crime enhancement, he would ordinarily have faced a maximum sentence of five years in prison. It was only because of his status as a habitual offender, triggered by the hate crime enhancement, that he faced a maximum sentence of 15 years, which the judge imposed.

"Nationalism" is based on tribalism so, You flock to your own kind/tribe/nation. "Populism" is an ideology based on rights and power of the people/masses. These people can be of various tribes and cultures. What unites people in "populism" is their economic standing, not their tribe/culture. That's the difference. Quanative easing in the nut shell. Corporations need to take over the middle class. They perchase all the competition in their relative industry including every media company and tele communications company. The curve of supply and demand goes against this Socialist big government big Corporation theory because of the bust and boom of cyclical economics. So when a natural down turn in one industry bleeds into the next it cannot be contained without massive injections of cash. The federal government cannot continously inject capital into private corporations, so they use the Federal Reserve too. Digitally printing money to purchase Government bonds at first to offset the Capital that once was the Banks and Insurance companies domain. But do to capitol restraints of over lending to huge Corporations has fallen to the Federal Reserve whom is now not only digitaly printing trillions of dollars to buy Government bonds. But now buying for the first time in U. S. and World History they are buying Corporate bonds. We are on the presipous of the largest World Economic collapse that has ever been seen. Billionaires will become the middle class and millionaires will be the working class scenario. All others will be on sustanence payments and food lines.

@ACabral711
@ACabral711 3 жыл бұрын
@@robertpace901 Not quite, MMT states that you can print as much as you want as long as you control over inflationary pressures. There are several parameters used to control inflationary pressures, which include interest rates, taxes, and bond issuance. The problem with MMT is that it has not been demonstrated to work over a long period of time. Also, governments that have simply printed money in the past (e.g. Zimbabwe, Nicaragua, and Venezuela) had poor control over inflation, which resulted in runaway inflation. So there is really no example of a country that has truly used MMT as fiscal policy for long term with any demonstration of success.
