The greatest weapon of the 21st Century,,, develop a mind manipulating, psychological profile gathering and targeting code.The internet / social media offered the ability to target millions of people with hours of imprint sessions using an election as a springboard into their minds... blind to facts and reason, unconditional loyalty, commonly referred to as Trump's Base. 20 years ago would you ever thought a billion people on this planet would have a wireless connected touchscreen supercomputer the size of a Pop-Tart stuck to their face, walking into traffic, crashing cars into each other, such great technological advances we have achieved. Putin and Steve Bannon had the evil forethought 10 years ago to develop this weapon. Yeah I know,,,mass internet brainwashing technology,,, that's so SI-FI, kind of like landing a booster rocket falling from space, upright on a barge in the ocean or a pad where it blasted off. Now if only I could pry my folks away from Fox News for a minute and not talk about Crooked Hillary,"still reverberating in their heads". At least it's not 100% effective but added to propaganda induced tribalism, political extortion and bribery, effective enough to achieve the unthinkable. Did I hear Putin utter," Checkmate!" Learn how Putin & Steve Bannon brainwashed 50 million Americans using the 2016 election as a springboard into their minds in the new book " Mindf*ck: Cambridge Analytica and the Plot to Break America ".

@@TheHSoko Not quite true - did you not listen to this interview? Bannon talks of how profit is privatised for the elite, and debt is socialised, to be paid by the lower and middle class. for starters : the first and main complex of questions would have to be about SB's motivations , there's a whole bunch possibly evolving from that . The second complex would be about his dishonest donor - bashing regarding everybody else -- as he himself is beholden to his own donors - esp. the Mercers . The third complex would be about the policy implications - like abolishing environmental protections ( partly even from the Nixon era ) that will destroy precious nature and harm American citicens . The fourth complex would be about the stunning congruence of Russian geo - strategic interests and Pino's actions . Furthermore SB's promotion of right - wing / protofascist groups in Europe that all receive funding from stolen Russian tax payer money . How could he claim this to be unrelated - when there never is anything 'by accident' in politics . Nail him on his praise of Nazi - Putin as a ( in S.B.'s words ) saviour of European nationalism . The last complex would have to go into SB's long term policy goals . So , not being a fulltime - KZbinr and not owing anything to anybody here ( just like everybody else ) these five complexes ( and I could name more ) would easily produce 10s of questions and I think it would have been a far more interesting affair that way . Hell , I'd challenge that SB guy every day as a breakfast warm - up . . .

Bannon is so bright, informed, intuitive about the nation, that's easy to overlook he's just wrong. Whatever your political leanings, both Palin and Trump were patently unfit. Their ignorance was breathtaking. And that's who Bannon advances. He goes on to say the healthy attendance of the respective right and left organizations, including turnout, is evidence of a healthy democracy. That's insane. They're gearing for battle. The country has never been more divided. And Bannon is the architect of that. Instead of working to shape our democracy, he birthed the MTGs, Gaetz, Cruz, Jordan etc etc, complete MAGA gas lighting fools. Democracy is literally on its deathbed, and this fool is cheering it's death.

His opposition to it isn't moral but tactical , he just didn''t like the outcome because it put a spotlight on this scene ( of his friends , allies and Bb readers ) and thus caused them a backlash . He's mostly a disciplined military style strategist and that's the main reason I kept paying close attention till the end , filtering out quite a number of revelations .

@DJ NV Closing the borders to certain people of certain skin hues does nothing to help the working classes. He makes up a silly story that that will reduce the labor pool and raise wages and increase the number of jobs. But he also knows it isn't true. Vouchers are for sending white kids to white schools and have nothing to do with best schools.
@DynaCatlovesme
@DynaCatlovesme 4 жыл бұрын
@DJ NV That's the narrative Bannon's selling. There's no truth to it. What actually happens it that crops rot in the fields, prices for produce rises, farmers go bankrupt and are taken over on the cheap by mega-corps. Automation replaces workers not immigrants. Pay only goes up when the demand for goods goes up and demand goes up as population goes up. Reducing population growth by reducing immigration shrinks demand, which reduces the number and value of jobs.
@DynaCatlovesme
@DynaCatlovesme 4 жыл бұрын
@DJ NV All that is the exact reverse of anything Bannon is saying. And you can't implement "Where we cannot fill the jobs with citizens, we simply allow the LEGAL immigrants to keep those jobs..." in a free country. The biggest problem, which Bannon ignores completely, is the capitalist death spiral we are in. In the coming decades, the ravages of climate change is going to force us to massacre millions at the border or choose to allow people in. That's the choice.

Steve Bannon comes off here as almost based, right up until the first ten minutes, when he references the corporate bailouts of the previous administrations, and you know that he helped decide to do the same fucking bailout to the tune of over 10 trillion dollars in the four years of the Trump administration, which shows that everything he just said, he doesn't believe in. The cars will be made in America, all parts produced in America, and sold in America. Oh, and in case you had a student loan or Pell Grant, your debt is likely forgiven. Anyone making $60,000 or less per year won't owe taxes, but the top 1%. did have their taxes raised. He seems hell-bent on making American cars that everyone can eventually afford. Huge credit to the interviewer who stopped Steve around the 15 minute point saying to him let us not go there yet. Let us continue on with the financial crisis in 08 and the political landscape before 2016. The 2nd interview FRONTLINE did with Steve could not possibly live up to this greatness of this one, with some portion of that being the result of the interviewer who was not as great as the one in this stellar interview. I have listened to this multiple times, particularly the beginning portion of this before they even mention Trump.

Listening to this is extremely interesting. My prior opinions were largely based on the opinions of others and media coverage. At least this provides a proper context and Bannon makes his points very well. The point that the 2008 bailout was paid by the working class to save the guilty is very true. It does evidence the permanent political class. Most unelected. Again a big fact.

As “big media” goes, Frontline is still one of the more unbiased institutions. Love Steve Bannon BTW, so I AM biased. Blue collar guys like Bannon who are this smart and wind up in political advisory roles are few and far between these days. Need more like him.

@@HBSuccess 🤔 mmm, “one of the more...” well... Yes, they publish the unaltered, unedited interviews. But the heavy bias still shows in the hour-long documentaries that they produce. Most people won’t watch the source material, just the summary documentary. Or, as Bannon would say- their “angle of attack” is still unabashedly knee-to-ankle deep in the Democrat party rhetoric, which maintains a powerful pull over the “good people who know what’s best for everyone” elitism of affluent liberal and socialist government boot lickers. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I could elaborate, but Frontline, as professional and quality as they are, definitely do not align with libertarian or conservative political orientations. And often display contempt for them, particularly from the “everything is racist and white supremacist” contemporary neo-Marxist narrative.
