Nothing is scarier in vintage racing than a C1 on steelies. Telltale sign of "I've had 3 7&7s, half a pack of Marlboro Golds, and I have no fucks left to give."

I just started getting back into Sim racing after my dad passed in February. He was a mechanic. He used to help me with NR2003 setups years ago when it first came out. I came across your channel and I absolutely enjoy all of your content. Your narration of the history and cars is truly wonderful and engaging. Thank you so much for your videos.

Man, I love this. My father has a white '61 with a 327. We actually know Lance Miller, the man who owns the No. 3 Briggs Cunningham Corvette which raced at Le Mans. I think C1 corvettes get overlooked as racers because of the later big blocks, but I imagine back in the day were used pretty extensively by amateurs. Cool interior, very accurate, and great video as always.

Cool to finally see this place. Allan Moffat was another of the big names to race there, back in his early Trans-Am days in a Lotus Cortina.

I just went down the Marlboro Raceway rabbit hole a few weeks ago. Saw it mentioned in some driver wiki I was reading, was surprised I had never heard of it before. Then I wondered if it had ever been recreated in any sim. Well now I know.

This was so fun to watch! 🤩 As someone pointed out already, the outside shots were super cinematic, great action. Funnily enough, I indeed feel that the erratic AI really added immersion and excitement instead of taking it away lol And the rain drops in the end were the icing on the cake of a super interesting race :) It's of course extremely unsafe irl, but really cool visually that you can see the cars coming down in the other part of the track.

Funny you mentioned Yenko. My dad was friends with him and told about one time Don asked if he wanted Montreal Steaks, his treat. Next thing my dad knew he was shoved (my dad was that scared of flying they had to physically force him on the plane lol) onto Don's plane and they actually went to Montreal lmfao. What a baller. They tried to get my dad on the plan that night too when tragedy struck. He sounded like a great guy.

It should be noted that his is the 2nd "style" for the Corvette, the "scoop-side" 'Vette, as opposed to the 1953-55 original, with the Blue Flame, 6-cylinder engine. Gotta say, I quite like those Maserati Tipo 61 "Birdcages" on the grid there. I will note, the USAC RRC got started in 1958, and was another Sports Car racing series. Of course, another track that had quite the layout for folding back on itself that was around back then was Interlagos down in Brazil (opened in 1940). Just looking, and maybe K missed something, but is there not a mod for an old Thunderbird to fill out American contingent a bit more? (Of course, what would really be great is mods of some of the signature Sports Racer specials like the Scarab, Cunningham, etc.) I also expect there would have been some Ferrari 250s or something floating around in the SCCA races of that period, to say nothing of the Jags and Astons. And I think Carroll Shelby was one of those wheeling around a Maserati 450S 5.7 (570S). Of course, I think Langhorne was kind of the ultimate oval without a real straight. That was just a bit optimistic by the Maser there. This probably isn't the first rack I'd pick to run myself, but I'm glad it's in AC, nonetheless. I guess, now we just need Sergio to do Bryar. Jeez, that got more than a little ragged there on the penultimate lap.

Its fine in your live streams but when presented in your videos that are trying to be educational and immersive i just cant stand it for more then a couple minutes. A digital telemetry would be fine but the foot pedal and wheel feels to me like a thorn in my eye. Especially with the lack of an in game wheel id beg you too revert it but its your channel so do as you please. edit: honestly my ideal setup would be the motion camera from the 1939 mercedes mod you used in your tripoli video but even i know thats too far for most lol
