Awe. I worked at Debbie’s Reynold’s casino for a few months. Change girl. They would come and sit in the lounge after her show at night. This really helps me to understand more of what was going on, thank you! Their commitment to each other, mother and daughter, is truly a testament of life and how precious it is.

I get the thought that Debbie just wanted to be with her daughter. I’ve felt the same since I lost mine 10 years ago. Time doesn’t heal; it just softens the grief. RIP, ladies!

Ray and Maxene, dad and mom of DR lived next door to us, in Palm Springs. Maxene was so sweet and welcoming and Ray was like a quiet, stoic cowboy as he slipped into ALZ, cruel thief that disease is. In those times DR had purchased a ton of furniture, props, sets and wardrobe when MGM made it known that they’d otherwise be destroying it. She’d bring furniture to Ray to repair. He was a gifted woodworker/wood restoration engineer. I think she was in denial, and that keeping his hands and mind busy solving such problems might keep him with her and her mom a bit longer.

My gut justs clenches whenever I hear 'she married again', Rich women of a certain age, if they ever marry, need to bulletproof her assets and fluid cash from these gigolos. They need to do what Elizabeth Taylor did and create a trust for her and her children's future (if she has children). They need to get a solid prenup as well as not falling for any stories of needing money for this and that sob story. Also, never fall for I know of a great investment. Even with proof, it's so easy to put those cons together. I'm just glad Debbie made it and was able to support herself and was happy up to the end.

CARRIE FISHER: Everyday my mom phones and says the same thing at the beginning of each call, (imitating her mom's voice) "This is your mother ... DEBBIE. (now in her own voice) You know, as opposed to my OTHER mother, Phyliss..." Really miss that Carrie.

All the celebrities of yesteryear seem to have haf "dark secrets"! Are these writers browsing through their lives to find something they can sell! These musicians and actors left a legacy of work which are still enjoyed. Leave them to rest in peace. They are not here to give their footnotes or defend themselves.

It's very strange that while talking about a coin flip that happened in the late 40s, or early 50s, they chose to portray that with a coin from approximately 40- 50 years after the fact. You can see this at 1:07 .

Debbie Reynolds wanted to have four children, and she did. However, after Carrie and Todd were born safely, her next two pregnancies ended in stillbirths. Later in life, when disclosing these tragedies, Reynolds noted that despite her wealth and privilege, she was obliged to carry the blighted pregnancies to term.

Yes, i just watched a documentary on Elizebeth and was so sad to hear that. My heart goes out to Debbie for being betrayed by her husband and close friend whom she supported endlessly and my heart goes out to Elizabeth who finally found love, lost it, and lost herself even more. The psychological impact of Hollywood/fame is so sad.

@imkluu According to the internet there's been more than one: Maude Fealy Mary Pickford Shirley Temple Doris Day Debbie Reynolds Julia Roberts Meg Ryan Sandra Bullock Selena Gomez Personally I've only heard of Mary Pickford, Shirley Temple and Doris Day. I guess it depends on what time period you're talking about.

Doria Day also married losers. One was a violent schizophrenic who, when Day refused to have an abortion, beat her trying to end the pregnancy. Yet she and Reynolds always had bright smiles and sparkly eyes. Plus Day made it to age 97.

1. everyone has problems, not just the actresses. 2. nearly all the discussions about actor or actress lives are gloomy to attract viewers. The number of expose videos of an actor or actress who led a life where they went to work, did a job without alcohol, drugs or stealing somebody else's spouse, and died happy can counted on one hand.
