The whole "duck and cover" thing was more for the people who were a little bit away from the center of the blast, where flying debris, shattered glass, and structural collapse were more immediately dangerous than the blast itself. It was never meant to protect you from the nuke itself, but from its immediate secondary effects. Basically, if you were far enough from the detonation to see it and comprehend it (as opposed to being pulverized or vaporized more or less instantaneously, before you even had a chance to know what was happening), then the detonation itself was not what you had to worry about.

One sad thing about all the detonations underground. Is the underground aquifer in that region, is one of, if not, the largest aquifer in the world. But now it’s radiated, and unusable.

18:50 By the way it wouldn’t work if it was a fusion bomb either, you need heat for fusion like you said, but we are talking surface of the sun levels of heat at least probably more, there is no conventional bomb that creates enough heat for Fusion to begin. That’s why Fusion bombs use a Fission primary bomb, the fission bomb creates the high temperature and pressure necessary for fusion in the first place. Modern Fusion bombs have a Fission primary and a Fusion secondary, the fusion doesn’t work without the fission primary creating the conditions necessary for fusion.

My grandfather died in 1984 of cancer. He was part of the testing. In 1991 my grandmother would receive a payment of 25k. They taxed and she ended up with 18k.

They are stopping local farmers from selling raw milk....so the average person is not allowed to buy and drink raw milk without starting the cow farm venture lol

The milk thing is an FDA (food and drug administration) regulation that basically makes it illegal to sell any kind of milk or milk byproduct such as cheese that hasn’t been pasteurized as the bacteria in “raw” unpasteurized milk can cause serious food borne illness.

I know deadly diseases, but didn't know it's a crime to milk a cow and not heat the milk, I guess FDA stand besides you while you start your stove to boil and pasteurise 😂

Would be kind of funny to see them try to do that lol. Of course it’s really only illegal to sell it to people, so as long you’re not selling it then you could drink it straight from the utter if you really wanted too.

You couldn't be more wrong about guns .The area and the part of the state I grew up in, over 80 percent of the population had guns, mostly hunting rifles and shotguns and we were taught gun safety and PROPER use of firearms at a very young age. We were taught guns were used ONLY for hunting, target shooting and in most extreme cases, self defense. We were taught to RESPECT and use guns and treat them the same way you would use a power tool. We also took our guns just about everywhere, it was a common thing to have a gun rack hanging up in your truck and when walking through a parking lot, you would see these guns and NOBODY was ever a victim of gun violence or guns used to commit crimes. To this day, many parts in rural America are still like this. Unfortunately, city people do not have the same CULTURE because they did not not grow up with guns being and taught gun safety, but instead opposite and only knowledge of guns is what they see in the movies and how guns are PROMOTED for violence by Hollywood. Guns don't kill, people do. As for your misguided take on guns, thats what you have been brainwashed to believe.
