You say the uk but it’s Scotland theres a big difference. Also in lots of parts of Scotland it isn’t chill or calm it can be very dangerous and dodgy. We don’t call them gangs we call them young teams. Everybody’s on eccies (ecstasy) or pished (drunk) which can make it very violent. But in other parts of Scotland it is very very nice. Usually in the UK and scotland, we don't over shoot/rapid semi in CQB arenas, especially at such short range. It happens if you're trying to clear a room but it's generally a little 'frowned on' so to speak. I think the biggest issue anyone may have had in the stairwell is you aimed for heads, not torsos. Over here, it's generally a rule that you aim center mass unless the heads the only thing you can see

Hey bud! I live in the central belt area and we've got two-three decent options for airsofting here without having to travel further north or south to England. The Depot in this video actually shut down last year sadly because of the landlord wanting to sell the place but they've been active on their social media about getting a new site up and running on the north side of Glasgow. From what I've seen it's about 2-3 times larger than the previous site and that was already quite huge and hopefully should be up and running by the end of the year. Another site option is Section 8 Airsofting over in Alanton near Motherwell, Huge outdoor site that's great to play at and the players and staff are fantastic for keeping you right as a new player. It's where I started playing and I totally recommend it as an option to get started airsofting, especially if you like the outdoors. (Check out a youtube channel called Scoutthedoggie as he makes recordings of people playing there and it'll give you an idea of what airsofting at Section 8 is like). Lastly if you live near Edinburgh or are willing to travel there, we've got a site there owned and operated by Landwarrior airsoft which are a decently big airsofting retailer up here in Scotland. I've personally never been to landwarrior before outside of their shop but I've heard great things about the site as well as the players. Just so you know all of these sites offer a variety of different rental equipment to help you get started however, they tend to sell out quite quick so you'll need to book about a week or two in advance in order to guarantee a spot for that particular gameday. Anyways, I hope I've given you some useful information that'll get you into the hobby :)

Why is it bad to shoot in the face? The face is the most protected part of the body... provided you actually are wearing protecting to begin with, which is everyone's own responsibility, not others.

If you want someone to hurt, you don't shoot the head, you shoot the belly, hands, or other unprotected area. Remember RIP kid? Center of mass means aiming for the center of whatever mass is available for you as a target. It is basically the "aim small, miss small concept". If you get shot somewhere and don't like it or it doesn't feel good either stop playing airsoft or add more protection to that spot. You're going to get shot in what ever body part you expose to the enemy. For most of us that's hands and faces. It is what it is. One of the things I like about airsoft is that it's up to you to customize your kit so it works for how you play. If you don't like something (lack of face protection) then change it. I personally didn't like being shot in the 1/4" of naked forehead that the gap between my hat and goggles created. So I got proactive and I cut a piece of mousepad and I wrap that up in a bandana and wear it karate kid style under my head gear. Still hurts like a bastard to get shot in the forehead but no more cuts/bleeding.
