@@yossarian6799 No, unfortunately I didn't know them, I only knew about 10-12 people on the show which included regular, Famous Hooks. I'm sure that I would know them by seeing their faces only, but not by name. Do you know when they danced on the show?
@yossarian6799

@@patricking6512 Ken appeared sporadically throughout 1967 and early 1968. He appeared to be a bit older than the other boys. He's in the New Years Eve dance contest with Christy Snider (couple #7), and his somewhat serious visage is seen up-close around the 12-second mark in the beginning of that episode, "In And Out Of Love" (Dec 30, 1967 air date). The lovely miss Sokol (sp?) only appeared in a few 1968 episodes, but was featured in the both the "Summer School" and "Presidential Candidates" Q&As with Dick. She's blonde, beautiful and has striking eyes.

@@yossarian6799 Karen sockle and Debbie Roth did that vitamin test thing on May 18, 1968...sockle and roth were favorites and they were missed in 1969. My favorite ever camera work was in my fave episode, October 12, 1968 with Connie Watson and in "Naturally Stoned" the camera creeps up- on Sockle and Dayton dancing the same steps in different directions next to each other...makes for cinema magic.

@@RAYFORDHENDERSON-dc2op anything involving Karen Sokol will get my attention. I love that "Naturally Stoned" clip because she shows her goofy side. Like in the "taste test" episode where she shamelessly admits scarfing down hamburgers, instead of eating healthy food. I hate that I'm so damn good looking but never could find a girl like her. I had plenty of "hot" women after me but they were all stupid, psycho or both. Girls like Karen ended up with guys who looked like Ernest Borgnine.

We regulars from the 1960's appreciate viewing what's available and posted. To help clarify, Peggy WAGGONER was Frank's usual dance partner, but he and Judy Michaud entered and won the 1967 Swing Dance Contest. Keep the memories coming. Don

Hi Don! I’ve been scouring various places on the internet for AB footage, especially from 1964-1970, which I think is the best era for music of all time. It’s so cool to see when these songs were new and the styles and fashions of the day. I can’t imagine how cool it must’ve been to live in Southern California and dance to this music, on TV, in the 60’s, on American Bandstand! Thank you for the clarification on Frank and his dance partner. I’ve always wondered who won the dance contest that year. Thanks for watching!

Democrats use race as a political weapon with a lot of money behind it, all for power, that’s why we take one step forward and two back. Always using the actions of very few people to paint a whole group “racist”, while many physical attacks and murders are actually occurring the other way, based on race. Political Power and Greed divides us.

I think this is my favorite time for Bandstand. The mid to late 60s, the dancers were dressed nicely but not in a repressive way like the 50s -65. I just itch looking at the heavy wool catholic school type clothes & the woolen skirts & sweaters. And the music was better more free flowing in the mid 60s & on.. i like it better than the 70s & 80s when i grew up..

60s clothes were fabulous. So glad I was a teenager in this era. I loved wearing the short skirts but the dresses were really very modest otherwise, and not too tight so you could move (dance!) easily. And then there were the knee sox, textured hose or tights, so you didn't have to go bare legged in the cold; the shoes were cute but not ridiculously, grotesquely high. The kids who embraced the hippy ethos may have been scruffy, but most kids were fairly neat and clean. Very few slobs in my state.
