I would highly recommend a self fertile variety for beginners. American beauty is one of the sweeter varieties and self fertile. It would be good for beginners. The palora which is a yellow skin variety is considered the sweetest variety and also self fertile.

Richard I wrote to you a while back and told you I had a Dragon Fruit called Trinadad that I could not find any information on it. It has new growth and a few older branches which can be used as cuttings. I know you are not aware of this variety. I know that some KZbinrs have a PO box or something for followers to send gifts or other things to them. I would like to send you a cutting of Trinadad so You could look at it and determine if its mislabeled and its possibly another variety. It is flowering and is there a way to send a photo on youtube to you. I no longer have contact to person who gave it to me and I am just curious about it.
