The American Bully is a recently formed companion dog breed, originally recognized by the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC). It has been recognized by the United Kennel Club (UKC) since July 15, 2013. It is a small to large breed which has been divided into four categories; Pocket, Standard, Classic and XL.
The American Bully is a highly adaptable breed, often acting as a laid back companion dog in the home while showing a zest for life and energy while outside. Many dogs, despite acting as lap dogs in the home, do well in sports such as weight pull and flirt pole. Despite excelling in such sports and public misconception, dog and human aggression is discouraged in the breed.

2 days ago I got to meet an American Bully for the first time. My wife looks at me and says that's a huge pit bull. I said no that's not a pit. She says if it's not a pit what is it then. I said I dont know. I have never seen a dog like this before. She really thought I was joking but I wasn't. I got out of the truck and this dog came running up to me as fast as he could and my wife is freaking out and scared that he was coming to attack me. Lol. I said yeah, hes going to lick me to death. I have never seen a dog with such a huge head in my life. This animal would put any rottweiler and pit bull to shame. I do Electrical work and I had a service call at this house. The homeowner and I sat and talked about his dog for a good hour. He said that I am the first person to see him and get out of the truck. Lol. Everyone else will call the house and ask him to please put the dog up. I said no I'm not scared of dogs and watching his reaction when I pulled in the driveway wasn't a reaction saying I'm going to bite your head off. He wanted to be petted and that's it. My wife however never got out of the truck. Anyway great video here. As soon as all my kids are gone from the house and living on their own, I am getting one. Lol
