Hello Tim, this has happened many times in the US by Pitbulls Rotwillers and others and the owners always say the same crap, they are so gentle they wouldn't hurt anyone, well if that's the case why are this dogs always in the news after someone is attacked or killed I bet you my Shih Tzu wouldn't do that.

I don't say that. I always tell no if someone wants to pet my dogs. I trust my dogs, but I also know my dogs. They are mostly one pack dogs, meaning that people who they are used from the puppy, they trust, but strange people are always a bit suspicious. But that said, i wouldn't recommend Pitbulls for people who live in cities, never. Not easy breed.

Normal breeds can do damage but a reasonably sized adult could defend themselves. These XL Bullies are on a whole different level. To own one should be similar to owning a bear or lion. Very restricted to professionals for a specific purpose.

An actual fighting, game pitbull is a slim dog that looks nothing like a bully FYI. @acmelka golden retrievers and labradors have killed, so you're wrong. In addition these were not XL bullies, they were pocket, but since there was more than one, it made it quite a bad situation on the lad. The purpose of a bully is a pet. It is not a working line dog, it has relatively low drive and is fairly lazy, the closest dog to it is probably an English bulldog in terms of behavior. I have an american bully and shes a lazy little pig, I also have a bandog & he does come with guard dog traits, which is his job, as he's a farm guardian. Much like most subjects, if you are not an expert, have never directly been involved, owned or interacted with, and your opinion is based on a few things you've heard/read... you probably don't know a lot. No offense, but you cross the street when you see a breed. Clearly you don't have the ablility to look at an owner, understand correct leash handling skills and the dogs body language... yet here you are giving opinions.

@@timnewtontoday "American Bullies" are a subset of pitbulls especially because the definition of an american bully essentially corresponds with that of a classic pit bull(terrier) which is basically just a crossbreed between bull dogs and terriers. To blur lines even further, the organizations responsible for recognizing dog breeds "do NOT recognize the dog breed as a seperate species". The point of contention becomes more considerable since the species has only been first recognozed since the 1980's. In conclusion I'd liken them as a specific variant of "bulls and terriers" with the primary distinction being a higher amount of bulldog admixture?

Every dog breed requires proper training. While untrained Pomeranians or Chihuahuas might bite, they aren’t likely to cause serious harm. However, a dog like a Pit Bull or a Bully could potentially kill you. It’s crucial to consider proper training before deciding to raise such a breed. Many Thai owners don’t care at all about how to raise and train their dogs. Some even let big dogs roam freely around the neighborhood.

Most Thai people do not know how to train guardian breed dogs. They either beat them and keep them on chains, or they baby them like little fur pals. Both ways will lead to disaster. These powerful dogs need rules and boundaries along with calm and confident owners. They should not be left out on chains and they should not be roaming wild. I've raised and been around Pitbulls and Bully's all my life. I have a Bully and a Bangkeow, living together, in Thailand. Both have been socialized, trained and they like people. Yes even the Bangkeow likes people, and they are known to usually only like one owner. Just a matter of proper training. But I don't trust most people to do it. 😒

Pitbulls were. Bullies are not banned in the states. XL bullies, which are actually more of a mastiff blooded variant are banned in the UK, but not the USA. Any strong dog can do damage, Bullies were never a working breed or bred to fight, they are bred as pets, but are strong, like other variants of the bulldog family.

Some people arent suited for certain types of dogs and breeds. Be it working, Hunting-Sport (Gun), and yes Fighting dogs. There are in the latter (But sometimes used in hunting wild boar and bear). Obviously the owner, even though a police officer didnt raise and train the dogs correctly/effectively. Looked it was an accident waiting to happen, imo. I had to deal with a pack of 5 unleashed and unfenced pit bull and bully pack from across the road in usa. Owner was playing with fire on liability, even imprisonment if they had killed a person. luckily they didnt, and eventually moved away back to Alaska. those breeds of dogs are no joke.

First went to Koh Chang 30 years ago, when it was not very developed at all, with mainly dirt roads and few hotels. Its gradually become more built up over the years. Its also not far from the Cambodian border, where there's a big casino located, so many go there doing border runs. It's likely an attractive location now for dodgy investors.

Grew up Texas gulf coast and those Portuguese man of war look like bubblegum to kids! They’re very pretty colors are attractive to those who don’t know how bad their sting is! Kids want to POP the bubble but the ‘scatter’ of poisons get ya! We were trained about them and warned others unknowing. It was said to ‘pee’ on it!😱🤭🥴yes vinegar was touted, but we carried aloe Vera lotions n gels. It stings bad and hurts quite awhile! We also had/have built homes on Texas beaches but ALL are on stilts! Flooding in and around ANY body of water apt to flood SHOULD be mitigated using higher builds of some sort. Hard to redo when cows already out of the barn. So I guess seawall are next in some form. You and I will have to agree to disagree on Pitties and Bully’s and Staffordshire since I’ve owned them all. German Shepards, Doberman Pinchers, Rottweilers etc all considered dangerous as well and TRAINING IS ON THE OWNERS PERIOD!!! I DARESAY, should you encounter ANY animal about to attack can be deescalated by a soft non threatening tone of voice DONT PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN SURRENDER!!! Start slowly backing away don’t look directly in their eyes talk slowly n softly and you SHOULD be safer! But-if not you better have a fast run and escape route!!! My experience after 69 yrs is I’ve been attacked and bitten by more chihuahuas than ANY other breed-damned cute little ankle biters! We have and love our pets but some don’t know how to train them properly and Mr. Caesar Chavez here in the states is a godsend for training-watch him if you need to train-helps BIGTIME!!! Pit Bulls are illegal to import or to breed in Thailand. Down the road where I used to live there was a massive male pitbull chained right next to a busy road. Everyone was terrified of him and on at least 2 occasions he escaped and 2nd time seriously mauled a woman. Nothing happened though, as the owner was a police officer. He had to sleep and lay in his own excrement and was never taken on walks or given any attention or affection. I walked past him almost daily to Villa Market in Chalong and with time managed to befriend him. People were horrified when they saw me approach him and give him cuddles while he was licking my face. One day he just disappeared. His name was Rotan.

Yes. I meant saline solution. But they also have vinegar (acetic acid) ready for other jellyfish stings where the vinegar will provide relief. The BlieBottles aren’t jellyfish.

Vinegar is no longer recommended for Box Jellyfish either. In the Gulf of Thailand this year, there is an over-abundance, like a plague, of “Blubber” jellyfish … very unpleasant actually. Lycra doesn’t do the trick. They say they come with the rain : can’t wait for a decent storm and then some sunny days to see them gone.

Yes in Western Australia if you have a vacant block you pay more council rates (tax) than the next door prperty with a housr. Also the rates are set by estimated rental value. In some area's were they want to encourage block size reduction they update the section status from a single dwelling to a multiple dwelling and so the rates also change accordingly

Incorrect. Bullies are bred as a petline dog. The breed that baited bulls was the Olde Eng Bulldogge. Pitbulls are game dogs, lean, slim and highly energetic... those were used for fighting. An American Bully is actually far closer to your british bulldog & staffy in the smaller sizes, but since its a breed of about 4 sizes & 6 types of variant if you include extremes and exotics, there can be a lot of variance across the breed in terms of what they are, but they should actually be bred for temperament as a loving pet line family dog. They were never a working breed or intended for that.

Not actually. Accidents happen. Sometimes people are unaware of a behavior due to lack of training knowledge. I'm sure the guy would have protected his brother at all costs. The dogs were pent up from a drive and were in the room due to the household having another dog. They may have been stressed and had a pack dynamic between them. So when the brother, who was not that close with them went in and started playing, he may have made one nervous in some way and set it off due to it already being stressed. It sounds like a case of an honest accident. I feel very sorry for the owner.

Heartfelt prayers to the family. There is only one power in my awareness aside from God’s grace /mercy on the planet that comes in the form of one Ceaser Milan that I believe can rehabilitate. Allow me a moment to edify him. The dogs were already in an excited state yet the handler is not properly trained to recognize the signs of danger. A disaster in the making. Dogs are not objects they have souls and experience nervousness, excitement and fear just like humanity. Without boundaries and a pack leader/human who knows how to shift the brain /mind states before attack humans are going to keep falling. I align with Ceaser on that it’s not the dog it’s the lack of education and training on owners part and I am with the people that support not being able to access such powerful dogs without ability and skill set to control. I can appreciate why the family may be struggling to put the dogs down then. 🙏🏻

It's a difficult situation. I appreciate what you're saying here. The problem however is that animals do these things by instinct. Once an animal has done something like this i.e. killing a human, it somehow becomes ingrained in the instinctual behavior that allows them to do it again. For example, once a tiger, wolf, or other predatory wild animal attacks and kills a human, they will do it again as the instinctual view of humans has changed and now sees humans as prey. And there is no other choice but to put these animals down. Like you, I hate to see these dogs being put down, but I understand why it has to be done. For me, I actually blame the owners of dogs that attack people. In this case here, my bet is that these two dogs were not properly trained. There should be some legal requirements for the ownership of a certain breed of dog...Special licenses, training, and even annual inspections. People can own and care for these dogs, but there will be some things that have to be done to legally own them.

Your fear for pitbulls shines trough. Do you drive in or walk close to traffic? And do you do that in Thailand of all places? Then, do you think more people die in traffic or from bulldog attacks per year? I think that you have decided in a fear for pitbulls rather than other more dangerous things in life.
