Part of the problem is the media not showing videos and images of such attacks.. It was a picture of 6 year old Rukhsana Khan from Bradford Infirmary that that led to the public outcry and the banning of American pitbulls. Aka the dangerous dogs act in 1991. It was a miracle she survived

I have a golden retriever. He has been attacked six times by Staffordshire bull terriers - every time the owners tell me it is the first time their dog has ever behaved aggressively and it's normally such a lovely, gentle dog. No other breed of dog has ever behaved this way. My dog has never behaved this way. Some breeds of dogs are genetically predisposed to behave aggressively and attack. Ban all the bull terrier types. They are overly reactive and unpredictable.

Just two weeks ago while sitting in a coffee shop with my yorkie, a man walked in with two pitbulls who went on to attack my dog. She was bleeding profusely and the vet bill was enormous, they were not wearing muzzles which is the law here in Spain and the cops took the Spaniard´s side and did nothing. They wrecked the coffee shop in the process turning up tables and chairs, it was truly one of the most horrific experiences I have ever had in my life, I was in total shock for days. As for my poor fur baby, she doesn´t even want to go out anymore, it has ruined her life!

I was in a pub last week where they serve carverys. A guy came in with a Pitbull in the bar area not the food area. I spotted it and jumped up as I have a fear of them. Anyone is free to disagree with my opinion but to them I say this; try convincing the toddler whose been mauled or had their face ripped off by one of these dogs that they aren't dangerous. Something really needs to be done about these dogs. I agree that poor ownership adds to the problem but the breed itself is a problem due to the sheer size and capabilities it possesses. I haven't read any comments stating or indicating that anyone place the dogs in question above human life. I have owned Bully dogs and others majority of my life and I lived behind a Police Station four years of having my last four Bully/Pitbulls and jogged with me everyday and no neighbor ever called authorities on me about any incidents involving my dogs or otherwise. I'm still to this day good friends with the Director of the Animal Control Department and his staffers. My dogs were very protective of the family which was my purpose for choosing them. Three were placed with us at the age of six weeks old by a family friend and one was a stray that was taken in at the age of two years old according to their Vet. They were trained to follow commands and they didn't just roam freely to terrorize human because I am a responsible dog owner. Yet, if anyone got within a certain distance of which they felt was too close, they would send a low growl to warn you of their uncomfortableness, but, they never attacked or attempted to attack anyone. If I had given an attack command, rest assured that either dog would have carried out my command. Owners who are not responsible and owners who breed them for Dog Fighting are the main two reasons that they have a bad reputation. I know many owners of the same breed and they're great responsible owners who have had no such encounters. Dogs are more human like than some realize, if you train them right and properly, they won't go rogue. If a person is a Thief and that Thief take their kids to retail or grocery stores with them and the kids witness their parent Commit Theft throughout the years, nine times out of ten, their kids are going to grown up Commiting Theft. If boys as kids grow up watching dad operating as a Drug Dealer, nine times out of ten, the son is being trained to be a Drug Dealer and will most likely end up going in and out of Prison or Murdered because of the choices made due to their environment. All dogs of this particular breed shouldn't be Punished for what irresponsible humans allow their Bully/Pitbull do.Correct & Proper Training Is The Key, The Only Difference Is One Is Human Form While The Other Is Creature From. (Statistics say they are all innocent and peaceful people) I have a neighbor who complains about disturbing his neighbor who lives on the first floor because he owns several dogs, including this dog who is famous for his hostility. He does not show any respect or care for his neighbor who lives below him. This man who suffers from his neighbor's bad manners tells me that he uses his dogs to bully him. If I had enough money, I would leave the apartment immediately without hesitation. How you can look at the statistics and not come away thinking there is something inherently dangerous about this breed that even good training can't 100% get rid of as it's built into them. I agree. I have known a golden retriever to go for it's owner. It was due to the way it was brought up. My friend has one of these dogs, the xl bully. It is so soft and cuddly and is just as goofy as our golden retrievers. 99% of problems with dogs are due to their owners.

The poor little girl and the people in this video are innocent and this is completely shocking and unacceptable. BUT this dog clearly has a completely irresponsible and incompetent owner: 1. Why is the dog loose/out/no collar/no lead and clearly no control. 2. The dog clearly has never had training or socialisation or boundaries, so In a situation like that will always be overwhelmed and on the defensive. What needs to happen is the government MUST crack down on who can have a licence to breed and sell with a whole new digitalised system of who the dogs are coming from and going to and then you’ll see where the true problem lies. You need to be able to properly insure them through reputable insurers who will cover them like any other breed of dog so they can receive the correct checks, tracking and healthcare (by insurers refusing to cover them, you instantly push these dogs into the hands of the wrong people) These dogs in the right hands of capable owners and reputable breeders are lazy, homely, loving, loyal family dogs. I'll never forget the story of a 12 year old girl who was inside her own house with one of these. She braved the vicious attack and she managed to get from the bedroom to the porch, where she ultimately succumbed. The scene was from hell. Blood and her prints all over the walls. And that was 4 years ago. Or that 12 year old Welsh lad, coming back from school. The dog literally bit his head off, in another case from hell.
