Yeah I imagine it would make you feel fairly horrible for having any sympathy. I thought that Jimmy Savile and the scandal surrounding him was a global thing, in the same way there are certain American criminals that the whole world knows of. Obviously it wasn’t, despite it being one of the most disgusting things to have ever happened and been covered up in our country.

Good Reaction though 2 of the funniest chants were at the end with the "haircut" one and the "You're Nothing Special" hilarious final song and I am in my 7th decade of attending in London:) As you know, The World Cup is on right now and we have the 8 Quarter Finalists and there are some incredible street scenes after some Countries have won' like the 5-minute video: "Crazy Celebrations In Morocco" for example.Enjoy Guys..

Im guessing you people don’t know who Jimmy Saville is then. He was famous as a radio and TV presenter and portrayed himself as a great philanthropist. He got a voluntary job at a hospital specialising in people with spinal issues and used his position there to sexually abuse children, some of whom were paralysed. That is only one of the places he was doing this - another being a reform school (a home for girls who were stuck children and had got into trouble with the law). There were hundreds or maybe thousands of victims and given that nobody would believe them or prosecute this guy, he got away with it all until after his death. This is despite it being common knowledge, as I remember hearing the rumours when I was in high school and I’m now 41. He died in 2011 when I was 30, so it shows how long he was allowed to do this. Despite the fact that the internet didn’t exist at that time, he was prolific enough in what he was doing, that we had all heard the rumours as kids. The crimes I’ve said about are literally the tip of the iceberg, Google his crimes and then come back and tell me that you put the words poor and Jimmy Saville together. He’s now burning in hell where he belongs.

For any non British watching chants like this happen at pretty much every game at every league and level. Not specifically the Adam Johnson or Jimmy saville ones. That was mainly Newcastle Utd fans winding up local rivals Sunderland after Sunderland player, Adam Johnson, was caught sending somewhat inappropriate texts to underage girls and was imprisoned. Saville was a whole thing that the BBC covered up years ago. Apparently he was a vile person to "younger people". Don't fancy giving more detail than that in a KZbin comment section 😬 one of the funniest chants I heard as a Stoke City fan was when Liverpool striker Luis Suarez came to our stadium and a bunch of Stoke fans decided, "you're teeth are offside, you're teeth are offside, luis Suarez you're teeth are offside!" Genuinely pissing myself laughing when I first heard that one 😂😂😂
