But because it had other financial interests elsewhere & the British public didn't have an appetite to slaughter their own kin & they put pressure on the government not to kill their cousins.

We were constantly invaded between the fall of the Roman empire (which was an invasion) and the late 10th century when Britain finally started coalescing into one nation. The same murder and settlement routine would be repeated in canada, Australia, New Zealand and the later United States. Then you took control of india, plundered it for centuries and took everything that wasn't nailed to tge ground. The "jewel of the Brittish empire" would finance all following colonial endeavors in asia and africa, always in the name of the shareholders in London. Colonies for the extraction of prime materials necessary for the new industrial revolution. To compare that to the spanish empire would be preposterous.

Since the queen's death I've seen so many people talk smack about the Queen, mainly Americans, yes the English monarchs have a bad history including Elizabeth but if it wasn't for her everyone would be still run by Germany and speaking German, atleast we (british) gave everyone schools, hospitals, roads, law and order etc

The financial crisis in China is a temporary one and just means that they can no longer stimukated economic growth through real estate like they have in the past. China’s expected gdp growth rate is at an expected 4.8% and the USA is at 1.4%. To put that in comparison the USA had an inflation rate of 8.5% while china expect to finish this year with an inflation of 2.4%.

India was not governed by a heavy hand broadly speaking. The British state did not have influence in India. The British East India Company was private with private soldiers. It was deemed to large by the British government and commandeered by the Government. Only then was the British state in charge. Indians created middle classes from British trade and governance that didn't previously exist. Africa itself was full of empires enslaving and selling their own people to each other and to others from outside. Child sacrifice, rape and slavery was the order of the day. Under British rule, life was hard but better than what had gone before. Raids on settlements by African tribes was put down and stopped.
