Do you really think that the time travel tech or the tech the reversing aging wouldn't have been used by the government to procure funding. The only way they would allow Stan to use that technology would be to test to see if it works and any potential side effects. Its cheaper to let stan use it and just blame him if something goes wrong than to spend millions of dollars further testing. They've all shot each other at points, but they're STILL more likeable than the Griffins and Simpsons, coz you know they care about each other. Mainly because the Simpsons, while there is some love in there, are disfunctional and all the lessons they learn disappear after each episode ends, and the Griffins are miserable people who would have killed eachother if not for the show treating death like a joke in cutaways. While the smiths are a bit Dickish to each other, they do react when something slams into the fan for one of them, its the main reason why the smiths are best. But if we are talking most adult animation families, they don't stand much of a chance. Id say the Smiths are in the halfway mark for all adult animation Families ranked on how much they love each other Edit: 2 years later, I'm wiser, I've watched Bob's Burgers and I've got some new info: All 3 families pale in comparison to the Belchers. They're great.
