Awesome channel. One of the most informative and, dare I say this, common sense filled series of firearms/ammunition videos ever! Thank you.

I have a case of the same ammo does not group well for me but is good enough for plinking. Wish I had access to a range like that shooting steel at over 500 yards would be fun.

Awesome you have a case of ammo and as you mention, it's great for plinking. Just wish the price would come back down.

Good down to earth and honest presentation of the ammo. I think the 55gr is greatly underestimated in 223/556 cartridge. Especially, at those distances (300 to 500 meters). Would help if you can find the actual BC value of the bullets and maybe display wind speed / values during your live fires. Have a good one and God bless!
@PracticalAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I'll add that to the live fire portion of the videos. Got one coming out Monday shooting at 1000 yards and I do all the analysis.

The video I’ve been waiting for. What twist is that barrel?
@PracticalAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. It's a Rock River 1:9 twist. shoots everything from 55-77 grain well.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. What trigger and muzzle device do you use?
@PracticalAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
The trigger on the rifle in this video is a Rock River arms 2 stage. Although I prefer either a Rock River Arms varmint trigger or a Geissele National Match. The muzzle device on the gun in the video is a Smith Vortex flash hider. I like this or a standard A2 birdcage flash hider. Hope this is helpful.

Nice reviews did u ever get a 1:7 twist to review I have 2 a colt 16in carbine 1:7, fnh 18in dmr II, and my favorite S&W piston 1:9 that I dont shoot that much due to the fact they dont make them anymore and I live in comifornia so wear I live I'm only shooting a 100yds but I love how clean it runs and my fnh I have yet to take it out shooting.

I have the parts to build a 1:7 14.5 inch gun. I just need to find the time to get it together.

Thanks for the video Andy. Do you have any experience with Fiocchi cartridges in 223?
@PracticalAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
You are welcome. I have not shot Fiocchi Ammo. I was thinking of testing most of the bulk Ammo so if I find some, I will include it. Thanks for watching.

Majority of bulk ammunition is 55 grain. The one in nine twist will definitely stabilize to 55. Will the one and seven twist do the same?
@PracticalAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
Yes. It will stabilize, but no matter what twist you have, your particular barrel may or may not shoot it accurately.

I like the American Eagle 55gr for target practice

That was my go to practice ammo before the shortage. Had to switch to IMI because of price. Thanks for watching.
@greybone777 Жыл бұрын
Yah thats the problem with little tiny bullets. Wind drift. In a really windy situation like a steady 20 mph or more wind,the difference between a 55 gr. Boat tail and a 150 grain boat tail is measured in feet at over 300 yards not inches. Good luck to all you fair weather shooters. If you don't go out on windy rainy snowy days you'll be very disillusioned by your abilities when the time comes and a hit is critical.

I hate shooting them at steel past 300. You have no way to tell you hit past that range because the round has so little power, unless you freshly paint the steel.

@@PracticalAccuracy more expensive than a gun! Can you do that with a cheap SWFA 10x?
@PracticalAccuracy2 жыл бұрын
@@hatmatrix4376 Yes. I have the swfa SS 10x scope as well and have shot with that scope out to 1000 yards.That is the scope I recommend if you are starting out in long range.

@@PracticalAccuracy Can you use the SWFA 10 on an AR-15 for both short range and long range: 25 yards to 600 yards? Is it too hard to shoot if the bad guy is running within the 25-50 yards ?
