This is what I hate about the patton tanks... The huge turret tumor called commander's cupola really made the decent turret armor useless, since stock russian or NATO 90mm guns with APHE can just shoot through there killing you, you're also a huge and easy target because of that tumor, making hull down practically useless, I really appreciate that the Israel variant, removed that and used a sherman's cupola instead, at least made the dam thing harder to hit at range hull down because the tumor doesn't exist anymore

There is something called rangefinding error. Check it in crew panel, gunner and rangefinding. It can be something about couple meters to 150 I think. If it happens to you at short distances then 8t might be some kind of glitch.

There's no f*cking way you this dumb to not notice the aiming these type of Vehicles requires. You will 1 tap any open top/light vehicle any where that shell lands, but medium/heavy do require to hit correctly.
