I have a query specific to 90 days interest free period on standard chattereed snart credit card .Suppose ! spent 50k in first month 1k in second month 2k in third month. And by paying MAD which is 5% it would be 2500for 1st month nd 50 for second month 100 for third month the 4th month bill whs 50k +1k+2k- (2500+50+100) = 50350 or I should pay 53000

If I use 1000 each 6 times in rewards multiplier (6000 per month x 12 months), I will spend 72000 in a year and will get 19200 points (600 points + 1000 bonus each month, total 1600 each month). 19200 points is around 7000 Amazon points. However, 2nd year onwards, if I don't get any retention offer, I'll pay 5300 (4500 + GST) and net benefit will be only Rs. 1700. Is it worth so much calculation to save/earn Rs. 1700.

Amazon is not listed under the 5x reward multiplier merchant. 1600 pts on 6k monthly spend is unlikely then. Plus renewal fees is 4.5k p.a. with no waiver irrespective of spends. Isnt the amex smart earn a better option? You can make 1250 pts a month by spending 7.5k (amazon, flipkart, uber, bms etc are included in 10x/5x category), plus annual fee is just 500 (waived on annual spends of 40k) Any benefits i am missing? Pts redemption value is the same on both cc right?

You missed the point. In video, it’s mentioned that you can buy Amazon Giftcards and get 5x points. Amazon giftcards are available on Amex Reward Multiplier. Go to the link below. Hi Quick question. I have SBI cashback which I use for everything online. Two things where I am not able to use it is for Insurance and rent. Both cummulatively costs me around 30k-35k per month. If I use this card for insurance payment (through amazon. I am guessing it works though I am not sure) and rent payment will it be helpful?

Actually it looks like this. But after first year, just before renewal, call customer care and they will reduce renewal fee heavily very easily. This can be done every year. Also, if you have Amex Platinum Travel card and take this card, you can redeem your Platinum Travel card’s points also for Amex 24k collection (which gives higher redemption value against Amazon giftcard and Taj)
