Amex knows how to make a good looking “limited edition card” between the white gold and the 747 Delta cards. Which since I use Apple Pay as much as possible a “good looking card” doesn’t do it for me 😂. On a side note, didn’t know you lived in Phoenix! Me and the wife went to the Grand Canyon back in March and we flew into Phoenix. We were both amazed at how amazing Arizona looks. Coming from Louisiana we’re not used to the kind of view Arizona gives! We were also shocked how cold it was in northern Arizona! Stupidly we didn’t research the weather before going and just assumed Arizona was hot all over. Never making that mistake again 😂
@JacobsPointsAndProfit3 ай бұрын
That's so cool you just came for a visit! Yes, the Phoenix area is much different than up north. At the same time it can be 100 degrees in Phoenix and snowing at the Grand Canyon. That catches a lot of people by surprise. I hope you had a great time!

Thank you, for this excellent comment video. Back in the 1980's when, I owned the American Express Gold card the annual fee was around $75. Over the past 25-years, I have owned a small business American Express card that, they no longer offer. While, the color of this card is "Silver", it is not the "Platinum" card because, it has zero annual fees and a credit limit to permit you to pay, your balance back over time. My current American Express card is a "Plum" business card and, by using its monthly 1.5 percent statement credits, I should be able to lower my out of pocket cost of this card's annual fee from $250 down to around $70 (smile ... smile).
@JacobsPointsAndProfit3 ай бұрын
Thank you! I really liked reading your history with American Express. That's so interesting about that silver no annual fee card! I've wondered how many people have that Plum business card since no one really talks about it that much
@transitengineer3 ай бұрын
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit Thank you, for replying to my post. In March of this year, American Express told me that starting in June, the interest rate charged on my "Silver" business card would rise from 14.9 APR to 20.9 APR. While like most, I try to pay my balance off in full each month. However, sometimes I may need to carry a balance for two (2) to four (4) months. So, I visited the American Express web site and decided to apply for their "Plum" card. As long as American Express, receives your payment within 10-days after your monthly statements closing date, you will earn the 1.5 percent statement credit. In addition, when you sign-up there is also an extra $500 statement credit but, to qualify you have to spend $15,000 within the first three (3)-months. So for myself, there is no way that would happen unless, I used this card to buy a used automobile at a car dealership (smile ... smile).

I’m actually someone who would use the Dunkin credit easily. I live on the east coast and go to Dunkin like 5x a month anyway. However the resy credit is worthless to me and the Fiveguys equally sucks. Tbh I find the Grubhub credit to suck in general because I can’t ever find for pickup that isn’t 30% marked up. And Cheesecake Factory, shake sack and Milk bar are hard to find as well. When baseballs in season I go to an orioles gave every month and there is a shake shack within walking distance, and I can actually get a meal unlike five guys.

Canceling in Feb. 2025 when renewal hits. Card is not worth the price for the multipliers and too much work to "offset the fee" you shouldn't have to do that with a credit card, the rewards should be organic. Sick of the coupon game.

This is a huge set back for the gold card if true just in my opinion......it truly is over as one of the best cards on the market, I put savor one above. Depending on the bonus even the freedom flex no af make more sense.....I don't care about the white gold color as much. the benifts are getting worse while fee going up. Dunkan has the worse food......stuff sitting under a lamp all day turning into something thats alive & straight out of a "are you afraid of the dark" episode. If you care about what goes into your body avoid dunkin like the plauge.....krispy kream would have been better but thats too much like right.
