🍔 American fast food in Thailand is very different than back home. Thailand American fast food features KFC as the most popular because chicken is much more popular than beef with Thais. We compare McDonalds, KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken and Burger King to see if they have different menu items in Thailand compared to the United States, and does their food taste different that the same food chain in America? The answer is YES and YES! Would you believe you can get fried chicken at McDonalds and Burger King? Pork burgers? Truffle burgers? Shrimp rings? Egg custards? Tuna salad? Do you know McDonalds sells more fried chicken in Thailand than hamburgers? Amazing.
Have some fun with us as we check out Chiang Mai's American fast food options, and let us know if your local McDonalds, KFC or Burger King has different food options if you live in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui or ? We know McDonalds has many options that are only available in certain regions. Maybe the other chains do as well.

Eating American Fast food in Thailand is counterintuitive ,it's like taking coals to Newcastle. But you're a very likable couple and good at video making.

Hello and we love your videos. Have you ever thought about doing a "plant based food video". There are so many in Chiang Mai. They do cost a little more but are amazing for your health. Some examples are Blue Diamond Breakfast Club, Good Souls and Free Bird Cafe. There are many more but too many to list here. Many of them have your favorite Thai recipes but with plants instead of meat. In addition, most are organic without pesticides. These choices can let you live longer and hopefully reduce some of the animal suffering. Thanks for all you do. Jeff & Patricia

Thanks for the thought and nice comment. We have been to Good Souls and a small 2nd floor place in Nimman off Nimmanheiman Road but I don't recall the name. Today we ate at Food4Thought as we like good sourced ingredients. We actually started a video on vegan and organic restaurants but stopped for other projects, but I imagine we will get back to it. We'd enjoy your list to maybe add to ours! Thanks!

We have guava and cream cheese pies, taro, and Haupia (coconut cream) pies on rotation at Hawaii McDonald’s, plus you can get the locals breakfast with rice, Portuguese sausage and eggs. And they still fry their pies unlike mainland McDonald’s

In Burger King on Sathon in Bangkok, I might have had one of my most expensive meals in Thailand. A Double Whopper with cheese is worth 10 pad Khra pao at a local market. Then for the taste, it was about the same as in the US... or in France. I think it's great that these burgers chains adapt themselves to local cultures: for example, at the moment, the Signature burger at McDonalds in France is with blue cheese and bacon!

KFC in Thailand, I like original drumstick and thigh, with barbeque sauce, but many times they don't have original recipe. McDonalds I like pancakes and scrambled eggs. But last Sept they no longer have pancakes. Plus in America, they have strawberry milkshakes that Thailand does not have. I will be in Chiang Mai for 5 days or so, this coming April. I am married to a Thai wife and we want to see Chiang Mai for the first time for both of us. It is so nice that Joy does not wear a mask, because she has a pretty Thai smile,,,,,,,,,,,,,Oh, I just hate those touch screens,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I haven't tried Burger King in Thailand. But I have been to McDonald's and KFC. McDonald's was okay, but not found everywhere. KFC had a chicken rice bowl that was good, but pretty spicy!! The spicy chicken is spicy! I had to go to the original one, and this store also had closeslaw that was good. I did get the feeling that the menu changes from place to place. For instance they didn't offer shrimp rings and a couple other things you talked about.

I come from Germany and live in Pattaya. What I really miss at McD in Thailand is the McRib. The Samurai Pork Burger is ok, but not a really convincing substitute.

@@RetiredGlobalLife Yes, I've heard of that "on and off" of the McRib in the U.S. In Germany, the McRib has been an integral part of the product range since the 1980s.

i know i'm late to the party and just now replying, but yes the mcrib seems to be a seasonal thing at least in texas. it seems to come around during the winter for maybe a month. i actually like the mcrib but a shame they only come around once a year (again in texas at least, not sure if thats the way in other states).

Hello I just discovered your channel and loving the content! I'm 38 years old and I'm trying to get a Visa where I can stay in Thailand for a few years. I'm looking at the work-from-home professional or wealthy pensioner option. Do you know how often these visas are awarded? I am a medical doctor/radiologist, I can meet all the net worth and income requirements etc. I'm just wondering how likely is this to be accepted since the application is quite long. Thanks 🙏
@RetiredGlobalLife
@RetiredGlobalLife 10 ай бұрын
I have not heard that they are hard to be approved, just hard to meet the requirements. So as long as you have the documentation, I'd guess no issues. Thailand likes people coming in with skills and money. I don't know the specific approval times though.Best wishes.

@@RetiredGlobalLife Appreciate it, thanks! I will try. I know you can do EITHER medical insurance with coverage of $50K OR $100K in the bank last 12 months. Hope they will accept electronic bank statements. Do you recommend to get a lawyer for counsel or just go through app carefully myself, should be fine?

My two cents Burger King was the most authentic. McDonalds fries tasted like fish and the breading at KFC was subpar. Either way American fast food trying to spread fatness globally. 555555 Thanks for sharing.
